The new motor sounds really sharp. Those are capacitors connected to the motor which stores a tiny charge to help out the motor and also keeps the voltage more steady along with other benefits. Some good ESC have a big cap pack. Thanks for sharing. Worth the $20. 👍😀

It's not the Motor it's the Dynamite ESC works very Strong with all motors but the best on a 550 on 3s

Nice run. Those are disk capacitors. They are there to keep the arcing noise from the brushed out of the receiver.
Brushed motors are pretty noisy and that could be part of your range issue. You could try installing ferrite beads on the motor wires. The disk capacitors reduce the amount of noise generated but if there is a little still there the motor wires act like antennas and transmit the noise.
It’s like driving under power lines when you listen to an AM radio signal and the static drowns out the radio station. The ferrite beads suppress the noise so your receiver can hear your transmitter farther.
Cap packs are a completely different thing and they go as close to the ESC as possible to help with voltage sag when you punch the throttle really fast.

Huh, a 3s lipo on a brushed motor? Is there a special ESC need for? Pleas tell me :-) nice video, it sounds it runs brushless! Nice car by the way, wich brand?

The RC is ECX and the ESC is the Dynamite 60 amp ESC and it is 3s compatible but in order to use 3s you need a 550 brushed motor not a 540 brushed motor or you will have problems but with a 550 your good to go.... Yes just as fast as my brushless RCs no joke

But I could see outside it is a problem. I use spectrum and will never go back I love spectrum in my rc race cars and pan cars and my big rc planes
