It was surprisingly good, though. Aside from the shit animations as your companions walk around on your ship, animations are acceptable. Combat is a lot of fun, and it has an average storyline. I'd say above average if they hadn't left so many questions unanswered, bit annoying. The overall game was pretty fun.
Just thought it was a funny quote considering all the controversy over it right now. I'm actually having a blast with Andromeda.
At the moment I'm just waiting until it gets patched a bit before I start my second playthrough.
Same thing I'm waiting for. Also curious about DLC, hoping for DLC that covers the questions that weren't answered at the end, which basically encompasses everything.
The story of that game wouldn't recognize average it it jumped out of the bushes and kicked it in the nuts. The story is as bad as it gets. Not to mention, the characters and the dialogues are the worst, enemies glitch all the time and quests are uninspired.

Yes, I had it pre-ordered. I got bored after about 30 hours I just couldn't force myself through anymore.
RicoLen1 didn't mean to press any buttons. But I guess people had it differently. I started the mass effect series on andromeda, I actually thought it was pretty good. But I played through the trilogy and I got why people didn't like it.
Not your fault. I'm just really disappointed in the game. That trilogy was IMO the best media experience ever. I'd rather a marathon playthrough of the Mass Effect trilogy than I would a binge on J.R.R. Tolkien's 6 movies (LotR & Hobbit), more than watching Game of Thrones or Lost, more than reading Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, you name it. When it comes to the most popular mediums of entertainment, Mass Effect was IMO the best ever.
With Andromeda I was just hoping for a game worthy of the name even if it wasn't as good as any of the first three, but ultimately I just got bored, and getting bored of Mass Effect just breaks my heart.

As fun as it would be, in the lore they traveled to andromeda a bit before Shepard got under command of Anderson, aka Mass Effect 1 so he would be only a n7 not the Shepard we know.

Word of advice, after you invested 180 into the three games, skip the last 15 minutes of ME3. It ruins everything.
Word of advice, the ending isn't that terrible, people were just disappointed every single little choice they made didn't having huge ramifications on a galactic-scale in the end. Sometimes little choices are just to build your character, they don't need to drastically change the game.
I agree. I played the games after all the rage over the ending and my response was "Eh, not that bad". I think that 3 had some weak story elements, and I don't _love_ the ending, but it didn't fuck up my whole experience with the series like a lot of people claimed for themselves.

To the rest:
Did you guys even play the games? It's not that every little detail didn't have a resolution, is that any and every choice you ever made, big or small, had NO impact on the ending what so ever. In whatever of the three colors you choose, all the relays explode.
Why is that important? First, through the entire trilogy one can read from the lore that no one knows how to build a relay , the technology is too advanced to replicate, so galactic society is fucked. Secondly, and this is a big one: in the last DLC of ME2, an entire STAR SYSTEM is wiped out when the relay explode. So basically, all major settled star systems (human, turian, asari, salarian, krogan, etc) with their respective homeworlds are wiped out from existance.
But they retconned that little detail. Oh, and Casey Hudson said in an interview that there wouldn't be a three choice ending, that all decisions through the games would've added up to a final ending... but instead we got a three choice ending.

I don't have the game - is it really bad? aside from the glitches and animation, how's the story/content?
The story is good, more lighthearted than the original trilogy, the characters are interesting and seem younger, the choices are more complex and often seem like there is no right choice, the gameplay is good making you change your play style mid combat at times though sometimes the Ai glitches and they stand still, the UI is a complicated mess, the character customisation is even more so, the travel between planets and systems can get tedious after a while, there is a lot of talking (only 30 mins of the first 4 hours I played were actual action) and the nomad is fun to drive in (though I wish enemies ragdolled better) so all in all I would recommend it as long as you don't mind your head turning the wrong way during conversations and a few shoddy facial animations
For me I like the game, but it really come's down to opinion, in regards to the story and the game in general apart from the technical side like facial animations,bugs, glitches etc, story is ok nothing special,the journey is more important to me, so for me I enjoyed it. For content there's a lot of it, but it's a lot of fetch quest like side missions, dialogue is hit and miss, so again that's more opinion based.
All in all it's not a bad game, but its not a great game either, it's a decent to good game, but it's flaws bring it down a lot, it's a very more of the same in that it's play's like Dragon Age: Inquisition but as Mass Effect, if you liked that you might like this. Anyway I'd say wait for it to go down in price and be patched before buying it or rent it then go from there.
