thanks so much! I'm so glad I came across your channel:) you deserve more recognition for sure, and are really helping me through a-level biology when it's the subject I find hardest
Great explanation. In the specification for this topic it says 'roles illustrated using examples of prokaryotes and eukaryotes'. What examples are they refering to?
There are quite a few! For example water has a habitat for some pro/eukaryotes, how water is required as a medium for chemical reactions (in both again), for transport (like blood) etc. I suggest doing exam Qs on water to see what the sort of examples they tend to look for :) Glad you found the video helpful and thanks for watching!
Hey miss thank u so much for these video. They’re really helpful! And btw miss please i am doing the ial edexcel.. could u upload some specific videos explaining concepts that are specific to that specification. I can send u pdf form of the spec text book. do i need to know about how ice is less dense than liquid water so lakes freeze from the top downwards so provides a layer of insulation and that it allows aquatic organisms to survive
Hi, I've only just found your account but you explain things so well and these videos are so helpful, wayyy better than some of my teachers and I was just wondering also if you might be making videos on mitosis or meiosis or stem cells? x
Thanks and glad you found the videos helpful :) I have made some videos on cell cycle and meiosis, so look for the Ch.6 playlist. I am planning to cover the whole spec so will do mitosis and stem cells at some point :)

I am trying to start learning biology, which videos do you recommend to watch first?
Depends on what you want to know! Could start with this exact video :)
Also what advise do you have on which text books to use and which materials we should use
I'd recommend the Oxford Revise books!
do i need to know about how ice is less dense than liquid water so lakes freeze from the top downwards so provides a layer of insulation and that it allows aquatic organisms to survive
Yes you do! :)
Hey , is it more apt to say as chemical structure of water rather than chem prop of water?
Thank you so much !!!!
is this pretty much all we need to know for the specific chapter or would you advise we take a look more at the ocr textbook?
Pretty much all you need! I aim to cover the key points in my videos, but it never hurts to also read the textbook as a reference :)
Add a n addendum to this, to do bio effects of vapor and ice.
thank you, this has helped a lot. :-)
Thanks so much
How does D2O affect hydrogen bonding
