Very informative. I’ve been hunting since 14, now 44 and learned some new things, relearned some things I forgot and appreciate the raw truth being shared. Being humble enough to admit your mistakes publicly so others who are making the same mistakes don’t feel discouraged and can learn what corrective behaviors or adjustments to make is super encouraging. Thanks for sharing

Thank you. That’s what I try to make my channel represent is real life outdoors experiences. Media has the young generation’s expectations so high I think many of them got discouraged before experiencing the reasons we do what we do.

Bucks making loops / circles ,is that a daily or seasonal behavior or how does that work and how do u actually try to set up to hunt a buck on the loop ?
I've found that the bucks here in central north Carolina will make loops / circle , travel from one farm to the other and travel in circle until they get back to where they started from but this sometimes takes a day , night, days , weeks so I'm not sure how to actually know when or where to be and how to capitalize off this behavior...
    I don't use cameras !

Specifically rut movement and it could be days before making the loop. A month ago I did a podcast with The Southern Outdoorsman Podcast. On TH-cam the episode is 1 hour 45 minutes and is called “This will change the way you hunt deer”. This is specifically what I am talking about if you want to give it a listen. They made several shorter videos with that episode around the same time about rut loops, but you’ll want to hear the uncut version to hear the whole process. I think you’ll enjoy it and hopefully benefit from it.

At 38 min Pablo asks about urine. According to jeff spurgiss on YT, who is a very successful whitetail hunter up north, urine breaks down after 15 minutes or so and the longer it sets the more it blends to smell like any animal urine. To add to that, in 2020 I made one of my first mock scrapes and pissed in it and had several does, yearlings, bucks and one of the biggest bucks I personally have had on camera to date hitting that scrape and really seemed to turn into a community scrape. It had like 2500 pictures that season and there was no feed pile for that camera. I think after a while the deer can smell the remnants of piss but the more deer come to it the more they saturate it with deer smell then in turn potentially attract more deer and they then leave more scent. So now when I go scouting I make sure and bring a few beer so I can drink them fast and have to piss when needed for a mock scrape. I'm no expert or legend but just wanted to throw that out there

Yeah nearly every animal will pee where another has before especially when marking territory. When I make my mock scrapes I only use urine in them once and they will be active all season long. There is no better way to get buck pics in my opinion. The only reason I even carry a pee bottle in the tree with me is to prevent drawing attention to myself if a deer were to walk downwind. I’ve never seen it spook one after pissing on the ground
