my favorite creature is Grashtuub
But I still love
the mimicry of treghrum
The digestion of the great ghaar
The heart of trawhalla
And the knowledge of trebhum

It is a great game!
I actually encountered a Frozen Sklaa in a tundra section before the main boss encounter version of it. It just happened to be roaming around like any other herd of species. No joke! It even attacked, however when I saved and reloaded the manual checkpoint to attempt to fight it again, it disappeared.
That's really cool, sad it vanished though.

My theory on the rainbow aura on the shelled grollusc when they are near an agent: so you know how when you into a gas filled canyon and you immediately get the filter trunk? If you look closely, you can see the rainbow aura near the trebhum. So what I think is that every shelled grollusc has some sort of ability they don't usually have, so the rainbow aura let's them keep their abilities

Awesome video! I love that you got probably every single detail about these creatures and their behaviors right. I though for sure some of these details would be missed by everyone.
Regarding the Frozen Sklaa, you should have been able to find more than one, but there was a bug that could prevent the game from spawning any more if you reloaded the game at a specific point. It will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Now that I've Played the game I say my most favourite Creatures are Articulated Angstok, Grashtuub, Klaborok, Tonglegrop, Zooshgarg, Great Gaaahr and Frozen Sklaa, I do Like Giant Monsters, of all the creatures in this video the Skulkbug is the only New Creature No one knew of until we got to the Corrupted Plains

I have a question you seem super knowledgeable about the eternal cylinder. Is there like a new game plus mode where I can keep my mutation tree or do you just start over the game. I have finished the game but I don’t have the heart to check.
Also my fav creature is the great ghaar I love the view from their back
No sadly. But if you are on PC there is a way to save your save data. You just go to your C drive > Users > [your user name here] > AppData > Local > TheEternalCylinder > Saved > SaveGames > and you will see a SavedData.sav file. You need to copy this file into a safe place on your computer. I saved mine in a folder in documents. Then you can also paste the save file back into SavedGames when you want to play it again.
My favourites are definitely the zooshgarg and the vuushlop, i just love their unique design and how they behave
I wish there was an endless Mode
Here are My ideas if one may Come:
All corrupt biome creatures in savanna, except grashtuub, that one in all biomes
No servants
Random map generation
No Shrines or elder caves
No random Events ( like purple Lightning or the mathematician destroying the tower)
Random trewhaalas coming out of the sky
Random Grashtuubs eating ded trewhaalas
that would be cool!
And some new ideas for endless mode:
Tripogrosh have two snouts and live in the savanna, nonetheless their are savana onogroshes
Desert tonglegroplet, it’s a yellow tonglegroplet, enough said
Blue Tonglegrop, it’s a tundra tonglegrop, enough said
Naked grolluscs crawl around in the Savanna
Master of song mutation allows you to call trewhaalas to the surface
Some shrines might be good as structures for upgrades, and knowledge for permanent mutations,

17:12 the update that added a creature to the tundra and desert respectively must've also heightened the chance for a non story related sklaa to spawn because before it was rare to find a randomly generated sklaa. In fact I had only found one sklaa naturally before the update but now I have found 5 in one playthough alone
The information on the Grashtuub page says there were also Terrible Krastobaks, & Hyper Tonglegrop (now extinct). So the Cylinder has caused some creatures to go extinct entirely.
So sad, r.i.p
Probably the same for those Naked Grolluscs. I'm guessing those Grolluscs lived in a certain biome, or part of a biome that got destroyed by the Cylinder. Maybe the Naked Grollusc was already a very rare creature, and the Cylinder coming was not helpful at all for its survival.
Two new creatures are going to be added in the Next Gen update; a lie furry aardvark like guy with a fishing rod tail it uses as a club you attack in the Tundra, & a weird three legged orangutan creature with the beta name "Crusher" that flips upside down & sprints after Trebhum, panting, & attempting to use the defensive spikes as a weapon to hunt.

I find Frozen Sklaas everywhere. (Not kidding) I've seen several roaming Sklaas after the Boss, and one right before, in the same tower section to!

Yea they did an update to increase their spawn rate thankfully. Now you encounter more than one haha

Something interesting I found out yesterday about the vuushlop,if you spray them with enough water they can actually die from it!
here are all apex predators in eternal cylinder for each biome savana: tonglegrop
tundra: frozen sklaa
desert: great ghaar and klaborock
corrupted cylinder biome: grashtuub tongelgrop also the alpha predator roondaslock
apex predator of all the land: the sky serpent

Actually, that giant sand clam is the apex predator in the Desert Biome, because it can eat a whole Tonglegrop alive 😱

I once saw a Tundra Tonglegrop before. It spawned in Savanna, but it followed me to tundra, which was next to Savanna

Tonglegroplets are actually found in the desert. So that means its in every biome including blue tonglegroplet

Regarding frozen sklaa being found outside the scripted fight. I was in the first tundra area after getting behind the cylinder and caught the thing vibing by a trebhum house, I had no means of hurting it so I guided it to a molten rock formation and cooked its heart there
Throwing food for a Grollusc isn't the only way to lure it out of its' shell; the Deimatic and Rattle Trunks work just as well.

@@Nivalagaming Oh, it is. It's great for farming for levels. That way (SPOILER) you can use the other mineral items for recipes in the Mutation Tree.

I saw a Vuushlop in the Savaana one time, in the Unifier's first encounter, where he infects the creatures. Unifier infected a Vuushlop one time, which made it harder for me.

Maybe the iridescent sheen of the snail does what shiny things do and it attracts things so maybe if you are being chased by a cleanser you should run by one of the snails

Ooo just noticed the first Grashtuub eating the Trewhaala has blue markings while the others are purely red. Maybe a regional variant?
Also, is it possible to compile all the different Trebhum patterns and colors or are they all random and too many to count?
I am going to go around the biomes recruiting trebhum and see if I can find all the variations. As for the Grashtuub, I think that one was purple because it was eating a trewhalla. While all the others were just wandering around not eating.
I have a theory that 5he first grashtuub that you find was male,due to the blue coloring
Like most male animals use bright colors to attract mates like many different types of birds and lizards

You can kill a frozen sklaa with the fire trunk but you need to put it a little bit far from it so you get no danger

I’m pretty sure the tregrum (hope I spelled that right) spawns in the corrupted plains since 4 pretended to be part of my pack, not at once but I encountered 4 tregrum.

I enjoy reading people's comments, answering questions, etc. One of the main reasons I created my TH-cam channel is to help other gamers and answer questions. Once I get bigger it will be impossible to answer every question, but I will always answer as many as I can!

I just got to female onkifurt part and i have an idea for a mutarion. If you trick an onkifurt into inkubating an egg, the resulting trebhum will have the cuckoo trunk mutarion and will also carry the item you can eat to get this mutarion.
I don't have any ideas for the other stuff so put your ideas in the replies and if i see one i like i will exit this comments to have it.

I remember watching Blitz play and he didn’t even realize the Frozen Sklaa was a boss because he shot a bunch of bombs at the weak spot.
