I’m glad they’re mapped. I always buy a few packages. I open one package and try to get a full set for myself then give the rest out on Halloween. Mapping allows me not to get doubles and have more for Halloween. Because there is only 3 per pack I give out 2 packs per kid. This also ensures that the kids don’t get doubles which makes them even more excited! These are meant more for trick or treaters!
Excellent. Ive upped my game this year . Im handing out sealed packs direct from boxes of 151 . I have a bunch of tins too for any kid in a pokemon costume. Im letting them pick their own pack. No i didnt weigh them. Im hoping a kid pulls something great. I have a trash can so they can open immediately i also have sleeves. I think ill have a line ar my door. If i run out of all that i have a bunch of other sealed product. Im getting older cant take this stuff to the grave
My son has a peanut allergy so these turned out to be an excellent alternative last year. He loved getting these and I was happy for him to get these over random plastic Halloween toys that he lost interest in after about 2 minutes.
There’s still more they could of done with it, plenty of other cards that could fit into Halloween and to stick with Pokémon’s theme of luck would be nice if a few of the packs had something good like a rule box Pokemon or something that you hope you get it. Also follows the whole trick or treat thing
@@ina3872 little kids still build collections so this isn’t an argument. yes there is a umbreon, sorry if i misspelled. but it took 17 packs for me to get all 30. cause when it got to the last few it would only give me 1 more that i didnt have. but i still have just under half of the packs left over unopened. since i got a full set. I will save the rest for unopen pack collecting. I RELY ON THESE TO ADD TO MY GHOST TYPE COLLECTION.
I just moved to a new neighborhood that has a bunch of kids in a very good community, I haven’t been able to celebrate Halloween because I lived in a very bad part of town that was unsafe for kids and no one would hand out candy, this year I bought 30 of these tick or trade packs for the kids they get a pack and candy. Pretty excited
Its not a collectors product it's designed specifically to be handed out as a cheap but way more fun trick or treat goodie for kids. Theres nothing wrong with mapping packs designed for this purpose. It's not lazy it's intentional and if you think otherwise you're just a manchild.
I just opened a box of rhese and was like wut? Mapped. I opened a lot of these last year and they were not like this. It took me a lot of packs to get 3 full sets last year (one for me and each kid). I opened 21 packs today and had 2 full sets already.
My Costco just had their 120 packs for $15, i know its close to halloween now but worth noting if you live in a high traffic area or want to give more packs per kid.
The mapping is fine they’re be shuffled when handed out however I think something they could improve on is maybe include like a promo card for each pack like maybe 2025 there’s a gengar full art in every pack just so all the kids have something to get excited about or maybe a few guaranteed promos in the boosters so kids can trade and have fun
I do wish they would make better exclusives for these sets. The holiday box has some cool V pokemon or ex so why not the halloween set? Also I did pick up the football halloween cards! excited to hand those out this year with the pokemon! Always the first things to go on halloween.
IF THEY START ADDING CHASE CARDS, its going to ruin it for kids, cause every A-hole reseller is going to buy stores out, and resell them for insane prices, like surging sparks. cant find it anywhere for less then 2.5x MSRP.
True, ATM these are 12 bucks at my Walmart and we're just restocked so now there's a bunch of them. I was thinking of getting 1 or 2 bundles because I didn't know what was in it
that's how it was in the past too. With the only difference being the stamped pumpkin pikachu and the foil card was not always a foil from the set it originated from (that may have ended now that S&V era has all rares as holos).
They are mapped so you can confidently give kids, in the same trick or treat groups, different cards. It's for the person handing them out. Personally I'm grateful I know I'm not giving a brother and sister the same set of cards. It's for the kids benefit.
They never as far as i know have their own set number or anything except the pikachu pumpkin on the side, cuz I still have a gengar from Lost Origins with the pumpkin Pikachu stamp collecting dust in my trade binder lol
It’s for kids ! Let kids have their fun and not worry about high end stuff and just open Sams have fun ! If there was a chase then all the adults buying and selling for more ! Yes put new 2024 ones .
"All the adult's buying and selling for more"(?) If that was the case, then all the retailers/stores would have to do, is limit sales to just 1 or 2 bag-packs per purchase. Given there are 100s of 1000s of these bag-packs produced every Halloween, there's more than enough to go around for kids AND adults. The more likely truth is, the company knows people will buy these bag-packs either way, based on false hope. Plus, the company knows (full well) it will make tons of extra profit, especially when adding repeat cards from last year's Halloween run (lol) which actually makes pretty smart business sense from the company's perspective, however, Pokemon fans end up losing out since nothing new and exciting gets released :'(
Too bad that Pikachu, Mimikyu, Greavard and Houndstone are exactly the same from 2023, I don't mind being those Pokemon, but at least it should be different illustration ¬¬
Yeah it needed more cards, only 30 to get is just very minimal and doesn’t seem like they really cared? Just wanted a quick money grab because they knew moms would buy it
pokemon just is printing garbage to sell to gullible buyers they know there is a huge passion for the cards now there just printing to print and make money the value is lost
It’s a little disappointing to be honest, it does have maybe 1-3 usable cards but the rest are trash. Yes I get it, it’s supposed to be for kids but a good portion of Pokémon’s fan base is 18+ so why not throw something decent in it for everyone else? Like a 4 packs could have something good like a rule box Pokemon. Honestly even if it just had more cards that would have been nice but only 30? There are so many cards that fit into Halloween
These are literally trash. Pokemon definitely got lazy this year. Course we have to remember, these are intended to be for little kids out trick or treating

As an extreme collector, I rely solely on these holloween packs to complete my deck. You all laugh now, but I will be the one laughing in the end.

Yeah, they were mapped like this in the past. I remember the 2022 Trick or Trade set being mapped and the 2023 one being a bit more random.
Trick or trade. Its in the name.
Designed to trade and low entry for children to enter Pokemon collecting
Does these cards/packs worth collecting or worth anything? Like the other packs?
It's not lazy because these cards were never meant to be bought in bulk for people to rip open a bunch of packs at once
My son has a peanut allergy so these turned out to be an excellent alternative last year. He loved getting these and I was happy for him to get these over random plastic Halloween toys that he lost interest in after about 2 minutes.
Really late on this but I just opened some and I got a crimped holo pikachu with the full imprint. Just a cool find or is that something crazy?
Isn’t there a chance to get Spectrier?
Why is that lazy? These are meant to be thrown into a bowl and given out. People who want a full set are not the targeted audience. Think a minute.

That they were placed in order. That's why he was able to predict the order of the cards.

How many pack did you get because I'm in Australia and got scammed and got only 16 packs
A good idea is for collectors to actually give these to kids. Secure future investment demand prices.
I only got 2 Pikachu not sure if it’s mapped
The previous one was mapped. I opened 1 full box +4 more packs from box 2 to get 3 of everything for myself and my 2 kids.

@thedizzytuna it was an observation, I know what they're designed for 🙄
just got 140 packs for the kids at work, i’m sure they tell be stoked regardless
This product just shows that Pokémon absolutely do not need to have packs at 4.50-5 bucks RRP. Set packs should not me any more than 2.50 a pack.
Agree, these would be 2.15 a pack if had 15 cards. 43 cents with the 3 per pack.

I like that it is so I can give full sets to my kids’ friends 🤣
They should have 1 chase card that isnt hard to get. Maybe like 1/8 packs. A Dark Charizard would make a kid's dream.
