Very accurate. This is what I have been doing for three years. Only thing I would add to this is talking to the potential seller to try to gaged where they received the item. A few times I have discovered that they bought the item from a thrift store for 2 USD and it scraps out for 70 USD. There is great potential in this to increase your profits because of zero attachment and next to no investment cost.

This is really good profit if you buy it from the correct jeweler. So say that it’s around 450$, if you have a 18K and you separate the other metals, depending on the amount of grams you can make huge profit. So if the jewelry is around maybe 50 grams, if you do the math correctly, 75 percent of that is pure gold if they have the number right. So if you get 75 percent of 50, then that would result in about 37.5 grams of gold. Take around 2.4 grams of it off because of the moisture in it after you did the chemistry. So that would be around 35.1 grams of gold. If that is true and the chain is 450 dollars the ultimate amount of money would be 2,101.36 dollars, take 450 off and you made 1651 in profit.

I've saved gold bars and silver bars for investment and I learned how to do it myself. I bought 5 1 gram bars from IGR in assay for 43 dollars each gram then gold value went up I can estimate I made a easy profit of 45 dollars to 60 dollars this was in 2017 I've since collected .9999 1 grain gold to hold until I want to cash it in. I've been selling silver bars and coins and fine jewelery in new condition from my collection some I sold on eBay.com some I sold to a nice jewelery store. I want to expand my horizons buying more gold. Thanks for reading.

Ok so in the USA it’s more likely to have either 10k or 14k. There are a lot of fake marks and deceptive marks that are only plated in gold with base metals underneath. So I would say it’s high risk. I personally would have to do more tests to know for sure. It would have to have a density of 19.32 g/cm3. One of my other videos talks about that.
