Great scholar of law. A true Muslim. Have read many of his long write ups in our local newspaper Greater Kashmir in which he proved that Article 370 can never be abrogated and how 35A was the final position. I too was convinced that now the serious human rights discrimination against girls, Dalits & POK Hindu refugees is a permanent thing. But then came along Modi and all that changed. It was a gud thing that our great scholar Mr Noorani was gifted with a long life to see this discrimination done away with. Almighty bless his soul.
I have a question - when JP said Sampoorna Kranthi - Did he mean a violent revolution or non-violent one? Also what's the role of CIA in the Janata movement? Before one supports the ideologies of people like JP examining these questions is important as India was supposed to have won it's independence based on a majoritarian non-violent struggle. Now, coming to abolishing capital punishment, I think it is just the case of some confused Christians or some self-righteous humans trying to implement God's spiritual laws in the natural justice system of the humans. But if these pundits still think it should be abolished then put those humans animals in cages called jails and keep brain washing them for a change. Also, I wonder with what enlightened messages will you reform them in the jails? Do these human animals or lesser culprits need to be reformed at all? Are jails and jail terms fulfilling their purpose?
