    Wonderful work, you made it look so easy. Still it looked like there in the end, where you took a moment to just sit on and rest with him and breathe in peace was touching to you too.

    Those first few steps he took toward you were HUGE moments! Even when he was moving away from you, he kept that inside ear on you! Love that you allowed him to think it through, focusing on trust and relationship building. He has such a lovely face and soft eye. Everything you did for him today, will result in softness from him tomorrow. Enjoyed watching this!

      Trust ? You have a stolen wildhorse from BLm, lucky for the horse it wasn't killed in the Roundup .luck for you that horse and breed BLm planning on putting a end to. They want all that free goverment money and the few government employees doing it are greedy for money, they have been so long they selling the land next after the cattlemen's over grazing it dirt. And like the wild Mustangs it won't last much longer Greed deciet lies are here .

      @@macktattoo7956 well who pissed in your cheerios? would you rather see them be shot? because by they way you talk you should know it wouldnt be the first time the governments exterminated animals for grazing.
      or in less of a hypothetical situation would you rather see them starve? its called population control.

    It's nice to see how well training can go without tie downs, hobbles, martingales, gag bits or other do dads from when might and fear were the training aids.

    I'm just wondering, how long does one of these training sessions take on average? I'm curious as to how long the horse's attention span is, when you do these things. As in how long they actively participate before they are mentally and/ or physically exhausted. I've never started a youngster before let alone a wild one, I just heard a popular opinion here in Europe that for ridden work, the “productive“ phase of learning and training isn't much longer than 20 minutes at a time (excluding warm-up and so on). Your session here was probably longer and yet the horse was attentive until the end. 😊

    Was that all on day one or were you wearing the same clothes for a week, lol?? Just kidding, just kidding.... Fantastic job !! Congrats on an outstanding first day. I have watched quite a few of these Mustang Makeover videos and you seem to have gotten further along than just about anyone else I've seen on the first day. I realize every horse is different and that there may be difficult days ahead but the first day was awesome. Can't wait to see your follow-up videos. Best wishes and continued success.

    Bet this little guy feels overwhelmed and really lost. Would be nice if BLM requred every adopter to take two mustang buddies, so they don't have to go to new homes alone. Mustangs and dometic horses speak two different languages, so having other (domestic) horses at home isn't the same.

    • @FluffyBuzzard2TheMax
      @FluffyBuzzard2TheMax 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then even less people would adopt, and they would be turned into glue

    • @yourbarista4154
      @yourbarista4154 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even domestic horses need friends, I feel strongly about horses having companions. I agree though, having one alone is better than it going to slaughter.

    • @Horselings
      @Horselings 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@yourbarista4154 I agree 1000%. Isolating a horse without an equine companion is illegal in some countries. The companionship of other equines is a need ALL equines have that should never be ignored.

    • @yourbarista4154
      @yourbarista4154 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hold Your Horses that’s encouraging to hear that some countries make it illegal and to know others like you believe the same way.
      I have seven horses together. I honestly believe they are most comfortable with this number. Much more so than when I only had two or even when I had them separated for a few months in groups of 4 and 3.

    • @Horselings
      @Horselings 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@yourbarista4154 In 2017-18 the Fleet of Angels org adopted out 907 unhandled horses that were seized by officials from a sanctuary that had failed to provide proper care. FOA adopted all the horses out in groups of two or more so no wild horse would have to go to a new home alone. We help place hundreds of horses every year, with a very strong policy re placing of horses, so that no horse goes to a home where it won't have a companion.
