As a Ukrainian, I just want to say thank you! Thank you for your attention to our war, thank you for your attention to our Selection. I really feel your support. And… it's a little sad, that the video did not include another member of the Vidbir - the band Ziferblat. They presented a very beautiful song. I hope you will have a chance to listen to it. Thank you again. 💙💛
war aside, I think Eurovision is one of the biggest platforms for Ukrainians to share their music, and probably similar for other Eastern European countries (any country that is east of Germany, Austria and Italy). also, I think, rating-wise, Eurovision is likely one of the highest-rated TV shows (although not as high as of Iceland); also supported by their good track record in the contest, qualifying to the final every single time they take part as of 2023.
Here after Vidbir, and you were right − more than 1 million (!!!) votes were cast to determine the winner. The traffic in the voting app was so big, the servers had crashed. My hope is in a few years, Vidbir will be as big production-wise as Melfest in Sweden. As for the results, I was really happy at the possibility of Ziferblat going to the Eurovision, and their 2nd place against such big names as Alyona & Jerry is such a breakthrough moment. It would be great to see Ukrainian indie/alternative artists to represent other sides of our music industry apart from ethno-pop/dance pop.
Such a quality reaction video! Inviting a Ukrainian OGAE rep was an awesome idea. Thank you for giving the voice to Ukrainians💛 And your reaction to the participating songs is also so cool! Loving your calm narration with extensive background for each song!
Me encanta la perspectiva con la que haces tus videos, y este no fue la excepción. Mi canción favorita Teresa y Maria, ojala sea la elegida. Para ti muchos éxitos
Thank you! I'm a bit short on free time these days, so when there are a lot of selections going on, sometimes I have to scale back the work that goes into each video in order to deliver the content that I want to make. Still doing my best to make it work.
Melovin's song is too generic and can be presented by ANY country. And it has this feeling is being a bit outdated: people have reason to mention the 2010-s vibe. Plus Melovin had his chance and one 17th place is more than enough. The Ukrainian commenter was not very bright, saying NONSENSE about folk songs.
Thank you for this video. Thank you for inviting Iryna. We love her in OGAE Ukraine.
My pleasure Vlad! And yes she's the best! 😊
Teresa & Maria ❤ winner song of Eurovision Song Contest 2024 ❤
Melovin is awesome
Melovin my favorite 💫❤

Muchas gracias! 😊
It’s always so nice hearing your takes on all kinds of Eurovision related stuff. Should be a crime, as a Eurofan, not to subscribe honestly 😅
I agree! 😆😆
Thanks Samuel!
thank you so much
Thank you for your support 💪
My pleasure Pavlo! 😃
Thank you for this video, it was interesting! Pity you are not included all the contestants in your video(

Jerry Heil Alyona Alyona have by far the greatest song here. It's the only song that has chances to reach Top 3
My favorite song is a folk one 😅
My favorite is Melovin. He has the most powerful and original song in my opinion
love

What exactly was the nonsense?
