I have a mk8 fiesta st with the same button/reverse camera unit. My boot/trunk release button is broken. I’ve bought a replacement that came with loads of cables. Is it a simple plug and play with the old cables ? I assume it came with the cables for retrofitting
Mine just had broken clips and made the camera unit sink into the handle. I fixed it by just gluing it back in. Not sure for you. When I took out the handle it had no wires on it, just a receptacle electrical connector

This is just for removal, if you don't have a backup camera stock, there's probably no way to get it.

How do you ge the camera out of the housing?
It is held on with bendy wedges, you just pinch that and it pops off. Should be fairly obvious if you have the assembly out.
