@@AndrewNewton OK my fault. I want a mix that not only deals with power on, but also slight up elevator when motor idling. In other words to keep the nose up and glide with motor idle. Thank you anyway.
I have a flysky i6x, it looks like I could set this up in the mixes section, maybe even easier/straightforward on it. I may try, my mini AR wing has been wanting to pull up after I lost the hatch mid-flight and made a dinky replacement one with foamboard.
In the past, when a Plane had the tendencies to pitch up, when Power is added, we just increased the downthrust(line) of the Engine, ok this Methode took some Time, and a few Tools, but it worked very well. Greetings, big Salut, all the best Wishes Anton 🇦🇹
When flying vertical downline, pattern planes tends to pitch up or float toward canopy side. So, I like to add slight down trim ONLY when throttle is below 10% or so. What I came up with is just like what you show here, but works from idle to max. I also tried using curve and logic. Neither seem to work. If you have a good direction, it'll be great if you can share. Thanks.
@@AndrewNewtonThanks for the reply. Frsky is not easy. Your way kinda works and trim goes down only at idle. But, it causes up elevator to move a lot at idle. Anyhow, I got an idea. I think I will restart from a fresh setup from nothing. Thank you sir!!!
Same way but add the mixer line to both elevon channels. Might have to change the weight to plus or minus as required to get the elevator compensation working in the correct direction.
Hello. How could you make the mixture progressive, for example: your mixture of throttle and elevator, when you have reached half throttle with the stick if you keep accelerating that you cannot keep moving the elevator?
Great vid Andrew :-) A friend of mine has a taranis Q X-7 tx with a multi protocol module, he's been using the normal flysky/hk Rx's no problem, but when he/we tried to set up one of the newer flysky Rx the "2A" ( twin arial) it only lists a few options, why is the newer flysky protocol not listed? are we doing something wrong? there are no buttons or switch's on the module, it's all software... and I notice there are only about 10 options? any clues? thanks for any help
Hi, i would like to apply this to my wing however i would like the elevons or elevators to pitch down when i at 50% or above. How can i do that? Thanks in advance!
Easy. Add another mixer line to the elevator mix or mixes. Source - Thr. Weight - Start small, like 5, then adjust to get correct deflection and direction. Curve - Func X>0 to restrict it to Thr more than 50%
I've been wanting a trigger throttle like a rc car on the back of my radio and use the left stick for pan and tilt camera. Right stick for role and pitch. Think there's a way to put a trigger throttle on a radio?
Great video as usual! My extra advice is to trim the plane for the best glide first, THEN adjust the mix so that it does no pitch up with throttle.
Mixmaster Andrew 👍 😊 Love the flexibility of OpenTX
Ha, sounds like a DJ
@@AndrewNewton 😂
Useful as always
Thanks!
Thank you so much for these tips, so very helpful.
Cheers
My pleasure. I really enjoy doing this style of video
Really useful Andrew. Thank you. But I want to have an offset for both directions I. E. Nominal 5 when the throttle is idle.
Huh? Dont understand

Hmm, may have to experiment
Yes that would work with the FlySKY, but start with a tiny amount of down ele
Excellent just the thing what I need.
For the same airplane. Thank you.
You are welcome!
love all your mix videos ,you can never have too meany lol
LOVE IT.. thank you for taking my idea and showing me how to do it. i knew it had to be simple
Thanks for the suggestion. I intended to thank you in the video but forgot, sorry
@@AndrewNewton it's all good. im just glad you did it.
Went back almost 2 years to get my answer for Dec 2020!

Yes this is just to compensate for problems with thrust angle or decalage, just using radio programming.

Yes quite easy. Logical switch L01 a

Gotta get one of those radios
You sure do. Highly recommended
How would you program this for a flying wing where ele and ail are both 50%?
Same way but add the mixer line to both elevon channels. Might have to change the weight to plus or minus as required to get the elevator compensation working in the correct direction.
@@AndrewNewton Ok, that's what I was thinking too but I can't seem to get the Rt. side to give me down elevator. I'll keep on tinkering with it.
Hello. Good vídeo. Could this mix be done without using a switch? I need my plane to turn ailerons when I use the tail rudder for knife maneuvering
Dont have to use a switch, but how would that work for knife edge?
@@AndrewNewton Good Morning. I already have the mix of aileron and rudder creadan, for lateral flight (knife)

I used a curve to do it however I see now that was superfluous.

May have been too complex to include the telemetry which is part of the 2A protocol?
Interesting. Just what I need for one of my wings. What's the purpose of the other mixer lines on CH1 and CH2, btw ? TIA.
Snap flaps for easier inverted flight
Nice...

Why not just add a couple of flights modes this way the elevator trim can be set for each flight mode?
Never been tempted to use flight modes. I see it as extra complications
@@AndrewNewton it's easier to control the trim while powering up on a glider. Try it sometime you might like it 😉

It would have to be quite a hack job but might be possible. Not something I would attempt.
Oh yeah this will com in handy..i have a q7 that Andrew Crampont gave it it mo i just need to learn it...but this will com in handy!!!
AC is a good man. It will be quite different to your Spectrum programming. Have a look at my OpenTX playlist
