Founded in 1972, this New Orleans based restaurant chain has found huge success and has expanded across the US nation. One time I was went to a potluck where I knew a lot of the guests would be from Mexico. I was feeling too lazy to cool so took a large bowl and foil then went by Popeyes and ordered a bunch of chicken. I tossed the box and put the chicken in the bowl and covered it with foil. Then I went to the party and told everyone I had made fried chicken. Needless to say no one believed me. I had thought since they were from Mexico they wouldn’t be as familiar with Popeyes but I was so WRONG! They were like “yeah, right you cooked this. We know Popeyes when we taste it” as they were chomping away 😂😂

Popeyes is very popular here in Guadalajara, they're opening a new location every other month. Is amazing, better than KFC the only similar competition here.
Yeah, Popeye's is probably the best fast food in US, but I'm surprised they found it spicy. It's not that spicy, it's like a 2 on the Thai scale

Frustrates me so much in "try Popeye's" videos that no one ever serves the biscuit with any of the sides! THAT is how those biscuits are meant to be eaten. Mash pot and gravy is an option, for me better yet- the red beans and rice! The mamas would have loved it. You break the biscuit in half and dunk it in the gravy or in the blended rice and beans! Is muey delicioso!!
Aside from those biscuits Popeye's don't miss. Claro.

idk i seen a tiktok where the lady got fired for exposing the one she worked at for having a roach infestation they were all up in the rice, chicken, and everything. Raw chicken was literally sitting on the floor in the deep freeze.

I like Popeye's fried chicken best, but I like KFC's cole slaw, mashed potatoes and biscuits better. It makes it hard to decide. lol
kfc mashed potatoes arent even potatoes. look up the ingredients. they even have gluten in them! its just potatoe flavored foam. and their biscuits are rock hard. even crows wont eat them when thrown out in the parking lot
