aww robin got him a cake how sweet i love the jason and emily relationship even though shes a quartermaine shes normal they have the best brother sister relationship
Lets be real here. Lila RAISED Alan and Tracy. They say over and over how Edward was off philandering or working. Yes, he skewed his family through his manipulations and "contests" (still happening in 2013). But, let's not let Lila off the hook for HER Q family. Although Alan was more like Lila - he was spoiled - but he had a big heart. Only when he was lied to or betrayed did he go off track. He was a fixer...somethings could not be fixed. Tracy - would do anything to be daddy's girl.
AJ was screwed by Jason when he was lied to about Michael. No one tried to make that up to him...and he went off track. Farren Phelps and Guza mislead us on the history, but those who watched from way back know the truth. Jason was not abused or forced into anything! HE ASKED to stay in Port Charles with his family, and HE was the one always telling them how he couldn't wait to follow in their footsteps and be a doctor. Robin and Emily were also inspired to be doctors by Alan's compassion.
that was Jason Q, not Jason M, that Jason M wanted to be someone else that the Quartermaines didn't like, that's the Jason that went distant from them because they smothered him with expectations that someone his age with no memory didn't want to be burdened with
He went off the track by his own choice. That's nobody's choice but his. And as for Jason, there is a difference between Jason Quartermaine and Jason Morgan. Jason Morgan was put all these expectations on him to be their golden boy and the Qs closed ranks after the accident instead of allowing Jason to be who he wanted to be, a different person.
And Jason was screwed much worse by AJ, when he drove him into a tree. And AJ was well on his way to going off the rails long before Michael. He started drinking at 12. He was a constant screw up. You know, Jason actually gave Michael back to AJ. It was his own actions that caused him to lose him again. My God, have you even watched Jason’s accident storyline? No one ever said he was abused or forced to do anything. That was not the point. He lost his memory and with it any emotional connection to the Quartermaines. Because of his brain damage, Jason had a personality shift. He essentially became a new person. The Quartermaines could not accept this. The Quartermaines were so caught up in their own grief and pain over the loss of their golden boy that they had no time to devote to getting to know Jason’s new personality. Their disappointment led him to believe that he could never be what they wanted, the old Jason. Because of the damage to his frontal lobe, his cognitive functions were impaired. He did not understand that their feelings were probably temporary. At this point in his recovery, he was a very literal person and could not envision the future. For him it was a case of what you see is what you get.8 He was angry and frustrated that they treated him as though he was too damaged to take care of himself, but was expected to behave as he would have before the accident. Hurt, lost, and vulnerable, he came to believe it would be better for all concerned, if he just left.
Jason saying he wouldn't let Michael be used by the Q's...well in his own way that's what Jason did to Michael. He didn't like what they did & people don't like what he did. Michael should have been able to make his own decisions once her was older, but by then he was told AJ & the Q's were bad.
not necessarily though, Jason actually was the one to sit Michael and explain that the Qs were his family as well, he even took Michael to see them on occasions, Jason was never against Michael wanting a relationship with the Qs
BetaArtemis there was a scene he had with Elizabeth where he had been gone for awhile and told her he went to get information to use against the Q's so Sonny and Carly would retain custody. This was when Michael was 3yrs old
Getting information so that Sonny and Carly could retain custody doesn't equal not allowing Michael to have a relationship with the Quartermaines if he chose to. As you noted, Michael was 3 years old, Jason was ensuring that Michael wouldn't be taken away from his mother. Michael could very well make his own decisions when he got older, as we see that he did do. There is a difference between making sure the Quartermaines wouldn't try to steal Michael away from his mother and revoking her custody, and having a relationship. There are two separate things.
silly and faulty logic and that doesn't explain Jason Q or some of the other's like Celia or Jimmy Lee just seems like another way to bash the Quartermaines. I guess because Carly and some of the others are such nice and decent people oh wait there not. Not to mention how good to Emily Alan and Monica where during the death of her mother and aftermath.
CAM8689 I don’t think anyone said the Quartermaines were bad people. That does not mean they did not make some bad choices. And they definitely made some when it came to Jason. And you know the Quartermaines and Sonny/ Carly making bad decisions are not mutually exclusive. Both groups made good AND bad decisions. I would say, though that compared to some of the Quartermaine history. Sonny and Carly are pikers. Anything Carly has done, Monica has already done. From adultery, to lying about her child’s paternity, lying, blackmail, and, physical violence. Torturing a former lover and threatening to give him a lobotomy and then trying to kill him are not exactly acts of love. I think it trumps drugging a guy to keep him from remembering having sex with you. And this just scratches the surface of her delightful little escapades. And Alan tried to kill Monica...twice. His own adultery is legendary. And his drug addiction rivals AJ’s drinking though not as long. Ned also is no saint. He would do anything and has, to protect ELQ. Edward is guilty of just about everything. Name it, he has done it. The list of AJ’s crimes is well documented, including shooting his own father in the back. Hell, even Lila has her skeletons. She was guilty of bigamy, making her children illegitimate, a fact they managed to cover up. And we won’t even go into Tracy’s misdeeds. The mind boggles. The truth is because some folks are entertained by the Quartermaines’ disfunction, they ignore the truly horrific things they have done. But because they dislike Sonny, Carly, and Jason, every thing they do is unforgivable.
Jason came back, aj came back, I want Emily to come back
I so miss this General Hospital...one great story after another
I've always loved their relationship.
Awww baby Michael. :) I love the Jason and Emily scene! Happy birthday Jason and Emily. Jason is 2 yrs old! :)
Thanks you for putting the olds version of GH video on TH-cam,...
so funny how steve still talks the same way with his hands lol
Please bring back Emily
And who said Emily and Jason aren't close, well, this scene just proved them wrong!
Who said Jason and Emily were not close. Everyone knew Lila and Emily were the only family members Jason cared about early on.
aww robin got him a cake how sweet i love the jason and emily relationship even though shes a quartermaine shes normal they have the best brother sister relationship
Uh, she is adopted so she got there late. Maybe that accounts for it.
My brother and I always had the best relationship!!until our dad passed away😥😫its very ,very sad,,we were closer than jason and emily😢
@gibbdreamer that's true. Still doesn't explain monica she only married into the quatermaine family yet she is still nuts like them lol.
Jason Morgan is two years old.

@chocococoa7 The Emily I crushed on back then...

Alan looked almost demonic in that one scene.

BetaArtemis.... but Carly and Sonny stole Micheal from AJ. They hung him on a meat hook
Hot Chocolate They did not steal him.. he was not property.

@@beegee1960 "The truth is" your black and white absolutes and sweeping generalizations aren't convincing. Nice paragraph structure, tho.
