Hi Skim, long-time fan. I decided to give your Plater profile a try, I love the nameplates for enemies on the base, but do you happen to know how to make my friendly targets not have their name on the base and anchored above their head like normal?
hey mate, appreciate it - i don't think it's possible as I can only find the cvar "nameplateOtherAtBase" which sets 1 rule for both friendly and enemy nameplates

So, after spending way too much time looking into it, incase you care, you can go to Plater > Advanced > Bottom left where it says anchor point, instead of selecting feet, select head/feet. This is friendly/your nameplates on head, enemies on feet. Cheers.
Nice video! How did you set your platernameplates addon (Target nameplate and healthbar) on the enemy to be beneath the boss, and not on top of it? i cant seem to find that in options. I have a hard time even seeing the health bar when the bosses are huge.
@@skimmynz Did you stop using the FQ WA, is that what you mean, or did I misunderstand? I still havent really understood what FQ does in Cata or if its not needed, seeing as MF was updated in Cata to not lose a damaging tick even if you clipped the last tick.
@@KingBob3922 in wotlk I had each tick of mind flay make a sound to avoid clipping early. Fakequeue helps reduce the delay between casts, which is a dps gain cos you'll fit more spells in over the course of a fight.
