I have an extra ipad air 2 with me that i use mostly for movies and youtube but even for when im studying (like running chatGPT) it does the job really well
Watching this on an iPad Air 2, flawlessly might I add :) my screen and home button even still works fine after dropping it multiple times. Battery Life is still completely acceptable

All until I was forced to upgrade to the new 13 inch m4 iPad Pro last week. Gotta say I got more use out of the Air 2 than any other Apple product or tech device I’ve ever owned. Here’s hoping that the M4 pro has a life that long.
There’s one other really cool thing about the iPad Air 2 if you have iCloud+: Access to Private Relay on Safari. I believe Private Relay became available with iPad OS 15, which is what the iPad Air 2 runs. Since the iPad Air 2 still get security updates and can be used with Private Relay, the internet security of this old iPad seems very solid to me.

Yeahhh, kinda dumb, though I will say, the mini, being so small, probably would make it difficult to use that feature. Still wish they allowed it though.
@@MattsTechhaving the ability plug into an external monitor and have a desktop environment like the M1 iPads is EXACTLY the kind of thing that Ipad mini needs. It would be THE PERFECT IPAD for many people.
I’d bet for a little while. I think it at least will get updates until September of next year. However, if I go off of how long iOS 12 got support for, it’ll likely continue to get security updates for a few years, at least. :) Either way, if you can find one for a cheap enough price, I’d say to go and get one!

Yes, I have had this iPad for 9 years and it is still going strong and I regularly use it to browse TH-cam and stream games. Plus, it still gets bug fixes and patches. Sometimes, it even loads webpages faster than my iPad Pro M2. I still use it everyday and it is extremely useful. It is also at a extremely good price and has been a great investment for me.
To be fair, I mainly talked about the differences between modern iPads and this one, because other than what was said in the video, this iPad can do everything a modern one can. :)
aboslutely, you could even get something older but ios 12 is from 2018 and support for yt is gonna end, but the air 2 gets a last year os so its totally fine.

Yeah, that was added with 15, so this iPad barely manages to get that feature! Quite nice for security, indeed!

Yes, using a Lightning to SD card adapter, the Files app will recognize it as removable storage and will let you transfer files there.
