Hi guys, I am so happy you are enjoying my country! I've watched a few videos from you and subscribed to your channel. You have an amazing property, the old house is gorgeous. Regarding the holes in the water: without being an expert on that topic, most likely these are made by the Thracians, thousands of years ago. It looks like a sacred spot, where they have performed their rituals. If you see rocks, water, and manmade niches in the rocks it will be safe to assume this is them. Bulgaria is full of such sites, and the Thracian history is mysterious and captivating. They have left us a rich heritage, a lot yet to be discovered. There is plenty of information on TH-cam (unfortunately most interesting one is only in Bulgarian). If you visit some of the historic sites (museums, tombs, and stone formations), you will not be disappointed, I promise. Here is some very basic info regarding the Thracian culture: th-cam.com/video/srmNhPtapy0/w-d-xo.html , th-cam.com/video/FAGf79Nz008/w-d-xo.html , th-cam.com/video/7VerPQMlUwU/w-d-xo.html The red and white threads is "Martenica" - a unique Bulgarian custom to celebrate the coming of the Spring: th-cam.com/video/O8qJwhvexaU/w-d-xo.html The sign on the door states: "Boiler Room" Cheers
Thank you so much for all this information, glad you are enjoying the videos ! Ant in particular is fascinated by Thracian history. Lovingly painted sign by Ant is on the door to the tavern with our boiler in.
@@AandDexcellentadventure I love the sign. A minor detail, it is probably not that important, but one tip from me: "котел стая" (kotel stayia) doesn't sound very natural in Bulgarian (like any Google translation). In Bulgarian, "котелно помещение" (kotelno pomeshtenie) will make more sense. Or just: "котелно" (kotelno). Another widespread (more on the slang side) name for that room would be: "Парно" (Parno). I hope to see more videos from you guys soon. Cheers!
Thank you for your hospitality and lovely lunch, we really enjoyed our visit and seeing your beautiful house.
Thanks guys, hope to catch up again when we are back in the summer.
Tak dobré video jak jen může být! Po horkém dni osvěžující a optimistické! Sdílíme tu radost z práce, i z výletů. Děkujeme že to natáčíte:-)!
Thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed it !
