MG Morris Garage is a British Brand now it’s owned by SAIC which is basically Chinese Government company. If any Indian player takes a majority stake then that would be good as some Indian company will own the brand.
But they aren't buying company they are just partnering in india for manufacturing

Can you tell us about upcoming full size SUV and also about future of ford in india.
Reliance is already in automobile industries for many years now.
Reliance Textile's Non-woven industry is one of the lead suppliers of cars and trucks interior fabric like for maruti, tata, toyota, VW group etc.
They are now eyeing the proper EV 4 wheeler market and thus negotiations with MG are on. The video is about that.

There were lot of actions by tax department against mg. It wont be farfetched to say reliance used their influence with current goverment to arm twist mg into selling thier operations.
It ain't arm twisting it's called as promoting Domestic industries and downgrading CHINESE
@@aryanshukla7866 we tried same thing before 1991. We should promote domestic companies no doubt but not in this way. Domination in every sector by handful of companies will not make good products but shitty cars and products.
There can be new manufacturers but Reliance, Tata, Adani controlling everything will be disastrous.

You should definitely buy MG. According to statistics, MG is growing in India. German cars Japanese cars are doing less sales as compared to MG. Moreover, Kia needs to launch At least 3-5 vehicles more in order to sustain in India.
Hyundai and Maruti are the only brands currently which are working on lower middle class needs and wants so definitely they have upper hand

If I am not wrong, JSW has clarified they will not be buying majority stake in MG INDIA .....
The majority might remain with the SAIC. 5000 crore anyway means 20% of the company if they invest at the asked valuation of 3 billion USD. But MG is looking to dilute a big chunk of its India operations starting with 15-20% dilution. JSW is still very much in the race.

Who is selling their shares of MG is it SAIC motors?
While the majority might still remain with SAIC, an Indian investor/investors will initially get around 15-20% stakes, followed by other independent investors, dealer partners, IPO etc. The dilution will be in MG India, a wholly owned subsidiary of SAIC.
