I'm an old man (45). I've listened to some true classics in my day, but I just have to announce that, "It's a song sung from a fallen milkman whose drinkin' bleach instead..." just may be one of the greatest lyrics I've heard. I absolutely LOVE this song!
You should check out Sincere Engineer. Similar sound and one of her lyrics is the VERY relatable (to me anyway), "I'm not trying to win, I'm just trying to finish".
Yeah, there’s songs I like as much or maybe more on other Alkaline Trio albums, but this album is the best and most cohesive and easily the one I go back to the most.
14 Hours ahead, a head that's heavier than lead, I got tooth picks in my eye's a smile more yellow than the sky, I got a song stuck in my head, that I miss more than my bed, a song sung from a fallen milk man drinking bleach instead, Im much like him. Lyrically mind blowing, gives me chills no matter how many times it's on repeat
Thanks for the upload. I heard on them on satellite radio in my car, totally forgot about them. Concert was awesome in 2003 Las Vegas house of blues. 🤘😜
Sad, sorry excuse Just like everything that made her smile And everything I use I won't go back to the way it was I'm now huffing gas and sniffing paint, To take away this buzz that I call you

Yeah definitely the most direct Dead Milkmen reference, there are others too (not in this song though)
You should check out Send Us Back To Hell or Sadie
Brent Daily I'm much like him. Always good to enjoy with a 🍺 in hand - no?

For a band that always has great album openers, this may be the best.
this song has to be one of their greatest lyrical achivements
such dark disgusting and vivid lyrical imagery. I LOVE IT!
best album from trio.
