It has some sort of sublime aura, and soberity in the delivery of the first part, and the music helps a lot with it. A normal man witnesses how two beings from an advanced civilization arrive at his gasstation, by tearing the universe a new one. They buy mountain dew, and answer that they are from "planet mountain dew", where all your dreams come true, a world created by entities which dont fit on the kardachev scale anymore, beings which have surpassed the gods and nature itself, climbed every mountain, counted every grain of sand and every star, found every answer, every question, reached perfection, and now inhabit the ultimate realm of dew, from where they guide the less advanced races, appearing to their simple minds as rotund men in futuristic clothes. If one has transcended all limits, then one doesnt care for where to pee anymore. 😂

@@getschwifty5537 The whole script was almost definitely written by a human. Only the still images are likely made by AI which created the images from the text of those parts of the script. Hopefully at least that much is from AI. Maybe all he can honestly credit to AI is the crappy speech synthesizing and animating lip movements to match the speech synthesis.
Crediting AI to something is akin to crediting magic because it doesn't give any detail on how something is made. It would be much more impressive if something interactive was set up to demonstrate the flexibility and ease of use of new software to create entertaining content. Anyone can make a video with lots of manual effort and in conventional ways and yet claim it was made by AI to get more views. Publishing a website that lets anyone make whatever they want too quickly or too cheaply to use human effort proves that some much more impressive software is in it.

There is a lack of finesse, a sort of dream-like inconsistent quality in current ai commercials. It's like "bad art"; charming in its own way, undoubtedly strange in execution, and ephemeral in nature - as the artist (ie the ai) eventually transcends the mistakes we find so endearing.
After divesting themselves of all things spice, the Harkonnens found a new lucrative racket in carbonated soft drinks.
That was actually shockingly close to one of those goofy abstract commercials I would've seen in the early 2000's, I can't believe the AI made a joke that actually made me laugh too.

I legit watch it multiple times a day... it's wild, it reminds me of the earlier days of content-based internet culture like in the mid 2000s, you'd come across so much creative, quirky, silly stuff and it was addictive. I guess it helps that the song is actually good (imo at least) and the visuals are fascinating/pleasing so it's just an enjoyable experience all around.

I've watched this a handful of times since I found out about it on Reddit. There is something appealing about the aesthetic. The gas station like place has a minimalist vibe with warmer colors, but it retains some coldness. The Mt Dew planet is dark but vibrant at the same time. It's like a futuristic liminal space that has been invaded by colorful, but moody, space settlers. And that fat suit filled with the green liquid, something about that looks actually comfortable. Like a walking, weightless bath tub.

Language Models are incapable of understanding anything. This isn't actual AI, there is no conciousness or intelligence at work. Merely algorithms and training data. The dialogue MIGHT have been AI generated, but would have been curated by a human who would select the best responses in order to assemble a narrative.
