Build quality is awesome for cf moto bike...not like what this guy says. I have personally visited showrooms and driven test rides. The bike is known to be heavy internationally because of it's good build.
Unless you're at least 50 you probably don't know how Japanese products were described, viewed and maligned when they first brought cars and motorcycles in. They were cheaper but didn't have the quality reputation they enjoy today. Along with that reputation now their price reflects it. KTM's are currently building in China. This seems like a repeat of history to me. I'll be taking a chance on a cfmoto. I will keep my current bike; at least for a while. Only time will tell. Imagine if you bought Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Toyota stock at the beginning of US sales. Just a thought.
Well you're right about Japanese products being falsely labelled unreliable but there's one thing Chinese manufacturers are at times found guilty of and it is selling false products. There have been instances where people purchased Chinese 250CC bikes but when they were eventually dismantled by a mechanic for repairs, they were startled to discover that bikes are not actually 250 cc but rather a smaller displacement. But then again one has to be patient to see how CF Moto does.

They been making parts for other motorcycles companies example KTM and been in business since 1989 while making ATV since 2002 with good reviews. Now yes there are better companies, but for the price of what you are getting is good. As long as it gets you to A to B. If you wanna spend 2k more get a Suzuki V storm 650. It’s implanted in our brains that Made is China = crap but almost everything in our homes now is made in china. I’m not defending, but out of all the other Chinese bikes out there. CFMOTO put a lot of effort into its company.
Visit a cfmoto dealership, you'd be surprised how well these bikes are made. This is a biased review, perhaps because it's a Chinese brand. Also, this uses a kawasaki power train, so reliability isn't an issue.
Jolly, I am riding cfmoto650mt for 2 years in Australia. Can't say anything bad about this bike.. done almost 15000 km. Another 15000 done on my 250nk. Both are beautifully build bike. No regrets
Head on competition with Kawa 650 family ( with lesser price and more modern looks ).. However, one of the key factors with Rs 5+ Lac investment is the ‘Pride of Ownership’ ! One will certainly get that with a Kawa.. Will that be true with CFMoto ?

I can make 450km on 18 litre tank. Riding 100-110 km an hour. There are couple hills in Adelaide along highway. 6 gear, 100 km/h... still have capacity to overtake.
What a biased review, only because it's a Chinese brand? As an auto channel you need to get out of this childish misplaced sense of nationalism. I've personally visited the cfmoto dealership and these bikes are very solidly put together, the plastics actually feel on par with the Japanese bikes costing 10 lakh+. That's not just me but also backed up by other European reviewers too. Talking about the engine, it's actually a kawasaki power train, so reliability is not an issue anywhere on this bike.
Only because it's Chinese and people don't buy these. Otherwise in Europe these are selling like hot cakes because they're well priced and very well put together.

How does it compare against other bikes in its class? like the versys - tracer or the vstrom in terms of engine performance and consumption?
