    Very insightful. Thanks for always feeding us with knowledge.
    Sir, can you kindly enlighten me on the differences between degree of communication of asphalt concrete and Percentage Refusal Density tests?
    I will be so great full

      Refusal density is the when where air voids cannot be reduced further. It is generally achieved at around 250 gyrations in Superpave Gyrotary compactor.

    Sir, can u clarify how to calculate annual 7 day of Max. Daily temperature? And how many years we have to consider for it?

    • @SatishIITR
      @SatishIITR  ปีที่แล้ว

      7 days maximum daily temperature is generally taken at the average of the hottest week in a year.
      There is no guideline for the number of years to be included, but generally these are on long term calculations - 10 to 15 years.

    And sir how 10 rad/s is corresponding to 88 kmph? Can u explain?

      @SatishIITR  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not to be related directly. According to DSR test, the oscillation rate of 10 rad/second simulates the shearing action correspoending to a speed of about 88 km/hr. Actual speed of traffic at this shearing rate will be around 16 km/hr.

    Good afternoon Sir, wish you are all good. Sir, I am having question but can not find the answer. Please help me if you have any answer. Sir, I have tons of Bitumen BND 60/90. Is it possible to turn Bitumen BND 60/90 to Bitumen BND 50/70. Is there any machine or style to turn 60/90 to 50/70. Thanks very much.

      converting a softer grade bitumen in to a harder grade is a reverse process in refineries and can be done through oxidation. But the extent of oxidation is not known to get the correct grade. Alternatively, you can use thermoplastic coploymer (TPC) to harden the grade. There are several groups of TPC available in the market, but choose the one which will have higher percentage of amorphous region.
