    Great video, i have started using golf club lead tape to add weight to the scx 24 wheels or i use roofing lead sheet , its easy to cut in to whatever size strips with just a good set of scissors that just wrap it around the inner ring and it works great , its much cheeper then the brass parts and you can add or remove weight to tune your truck , stay safe mate 🇬🇧

      You can use any weight you want..!! You just need to be as even as possible. Remember, this is a rock crawler, not a speed run car. The wheels do not need to be balanced...just heavy. The wheel weights will work just fine my friend. Good luck and good crawling.!!

    Exciting stuff Brian!!! 👋👋👋😎 Amazing GRIP.
    So WHERE did you get that Lead Rope - and what would I ask for??
    I've got 2 sets of Axial Beadlocks. The Cool Kids balk at them, because they're not $75 per set or MORE Metal Wheels...
    I've got Aluminum Beadlocks too - and I couldn't MEASURE the difference!
    ...... except maybe the EXTRA 20 Screws on the Metal Wheels!! 😤😖
    I've heard mixed reviews about GMade... Komodo, mostly good, BOM, mostly BAD. Varying opinions on the rest of the line.
    I've never owned any GMade products, except for the Komodo Body on my SCX10....
    One of only THREE Rigs that is left of my once impressive collection.
    SOME People tell me that they're poor, broke, tight......
    Some days - WE DON'T EAT! 😣😭 I just don't think People can comprehend the situation we're in.
    Yet I still struggle with RC. It's the only thing left, keeping me SANE! Even that is only possible because of the kindness of strangers and a couple of friends...
    That's mostly dried up, because ONE Basement Warrior accused me of scamming People!! 😠😡
    But I deeply digress.
    That Rope seems much cheaper than the Lead Wheel Weights for real Cars that I've been using! Only advantage, they're self adhesive.
    I just need to find out what to ask for and where to get it.
    I'm pushing the shoestring budget to its limits! It tends to make someone more creative than they thought.
    You should see my Video about how I made an elaborate, full depth Interior for my SCX10 One Raptor - from SCRAPS. I even Scratchbuilt SEATS! I'm kinda proud of that one.

    You always have the greatest ideas, and make it look easy. I'm thinking balancing the tires is not that easy???. That was an incredible performance from this truck.

    • @AMAZINGRC
      @AMAZINGRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks a lot for the great comment.! The balancer I'm using is actually used for RC airplanes. I think it's for propellers. Not only that, I don't think they're all that expensive. ( this one was a gift ) Once you get one of those, it's extremely easy to balance the wheel. Just a couple little modifications to the balancer( super easy ) and you're good to go. You can use clay or even little tiny bits of the lead which is what I did here. I just found the high spot and taped a tiny piece of lead to it until I got it balanced correctly. To be quite honest, the slower your vehicle is going to go, the less likely you need balancing. This Komodo is probably slow enough to where if it's not out of balance too bad it probably would have been fine. My trx4 however on 3s... in second gear could cook pretty good. I did notice that the wheel would hop, in my front left. And out of nowhere when I was working on these wheels on this occasion I thought of balancing them. This is the first time that I've ever done it. I've used this balancer before for my touring car wheels for obvious reasons. Keep me posted just in case you pick one up and hit me with any questions you got. Thanks again for your always great comments.!

    That's a good idea they told me about some weights they use to fish, they are something like what you used, but I ask you for a competition is it legal?

    • @AMAZINGRC
      @AMAZINGRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do not think that this will be legal in competition. However you can always check with the coordinators of the competition first. Then if they say it is okay you can either do the upgrade for the next competition or have a set of wheels with this upgrade already done set aside. That way you can swap the wheels out at the competition.

For a small air compressor take apart an old kuregg machine and there's a 12volt one inside. It can make about 5-10lbs depending on if you use 7-12v and there's rubber lines in there for compressor lines.
