Thanks Kevin, for taking the time to film the complete process and no commentary well done to you. I am not a mechanic but understand more now as I am having the same replacing the duel-mass flywheel & clutch with my own Kuga, so I thank you.
I'm going to attempt this myself and I'm just a plumber. By no means does this look easy at all, you make it look easy, YES! Thanks for sharing and utmost respect. Mobile mechanics are a godsend for people who are stranded or don't want to get ripped off. Great work mate
Cara gosto muito de sua iniciativa. Sou mecânico aqui no Brasil.
Great job! Tip: To undo the gearchange cables from the stubs on the transmission gear levers, press the button on them ends which will release them from the stubs.
Another Great walkthrough video of your work. Very well kept Kuga that. I noted the sliight oil leak from the top of the engine that you showed to the left of the battery tray which occurs from the High Pressure fuel pump gaskets failing. Common issue on this engine. Bit of a PITA to replace the gaskets as you have to time it again to the cam but its a must. Keep them coming brother very impressed.
Hey Man, I was watching at least 30-40 videos of clutch replacement from you…you are amazing! Will do my Kuga DMF and clutch set change soon and this video is more than a great help for me! Thanks for all of your footages! 😉 Cheers from Hungary!
Deep impact blue , I had a 65 plate titanium X sport Kuga 160 euro 6 powershift ( automatic) that had everything you could thing of on it , it could even park itself, lovely motors 👌
Thank you Kev for sharing that job in perfect order to complete as i will NOT be doing mine anytime soon. 😁 Fortunately, ive managed to get 63k out of mine before its time to replace the clutch and guessing its prudent to change fly wheel kit to. The car has done me well so a little investment at this stage is only fair. Thanks again
Such a professional step by step video, will come in handy when I come to do mine. I have an AWD version so I take it the Transfer Box will, have to be removed separately? Fantastic video Kevin, keep up the good work. Mick, Northern Ireland 👍👌🍻
watched your every video my idol KEVIN, has the guts and tried to replace the clutch of my wife's little car Picanto but i got panic after the replacement it won't shift, what was wrong, what i need to do. please . thanks thanks
Hello you are doing an excellent job 👍 just I have a question please. Is the ford focus 2016 2.0 diesel the same method thanks. keep the good works 👍👍👍
Do you study the night before to see the way to get these a part ? & do you take the neg off or the pos before working? I cannot believe what you had to go thru to get the clutch out. Front wheel drive suck!!
Was it the slave cylinder that failed? or was drive plate worn? I think the slave cylinder is failing on mine at the moment as clutch keeps staying down when I take my foot off it. I’ve bled the clutch but it only removes the problem for a day or two.
I didn't do this😢 Is there something that could go wrong, also what is the liquid you use to wash the metal opened mine and found it extremely dirty, I think some of the dirt entered my slave..
Thank you for the video my kuga same age is costing 1,800 hydraulic fluid gone dual mass fly wheel gone clutch gone. Is this the right price theses days?
Great video Kevin. Mine also needs doing, so could you tell me how long that job took you, so that I can quadruple the time to see if it is worth doing myself. 😁
Engine removal, you think I cud pull the whole motor and box out the front of the car if I strip the front section off the kuga I’m doin it at home don’t have a car hoist to pull it all out bottom not sure if I cud lift the front high enough to drag the engine and box out bottom. I guess I cud pull the box off like you have n then lift the engine out the top. Iv read it’s difficult to get the engine out without the gearbox
Hallo, when i need to change a new flywheel on my car i search a video, i have FORD S-MAX 2016 POWERSHIFT, exactly like this engine, have you video when you change this FLYWHELL but on gearbox automatic? Thanks
@@brianmason8400 Thanks for your reply. The big issue here, is labor costs that garages overcharge (6-7 hours when Kevin takes 2-3) and the reliability of garages themselves. Someone complains about Kevin hammering your car ( that's not true), but i would rather prefer having my car "hammered", then robbered the italian way.
Mostly motorway mileage. A lot of our customers do it preventatively avoiding the breaking down on side of the road. On average a clutch would require replacement 80-90k miles

OMG Kev so much work for that Kuga and looked a big heavy box well done yo u
Heavy box .. and very hot 🥵 day was 32 degrees Celsius
comme toujours, les vidéos sont de très bonne qualité
Hello Kévin,
Encore un très bon travail. Bravo pour la qualité de tes vidéos 📹.
Bonne fin de week-end
What a teacher William my friend
You are the king for méchanics,
I'm very impressed 👍👍👍
Looks pretty straight forward to me,I just haven’t got a spare two weeks to do it,and I can’t find a box big enough for all those nuts and bolts.
Love your videos, I've got the same blunt long chisel for drive shafts , it's the only way!
Absolutely brilliant work kev, well done bud
Thanks Stephen ..
I'm speechless Mr kelvin you thanks very much
It seems so easy 👍 , the clutches warrior 👋🏻
Super robota💪
Merci 👍. Belle vidéo
Wow, what a detailed video. Thanks. Would the process be almost identical for a 2016 S-Max 2.0L diesel?
Check the SMax video on channel’s playlist. Available for subscribers
@@WMCS Thanks. I can see your video on the 2010 (gen1) Smax. Is the procedure the same for the 2016 (gen2)?

Hey Mick.. the 4wd is the same. Just unbolt the transfer box and slide it to the side just an extra 10 mins.
@@WMCS Thanks mate you're a star. 👍🍻
@@BikerBloke600 Hi there, I’ve just come across your coment as I am looking at now doing this procedure for my awd Kuga, have you managed to do yours?
Da sitzt jeder Handgriff ❤
At 1:02:20, is it brake fluid you are filling in? I didn't see you filling back the transmission fluid in the gear box. Was this part omitted?
Yes that’s correct to both.
watched your every video my idol KEVIN, has the guts and tried to replace the clutch of my wife's little car Picanto but i got panic after the replacement it won't shift, what was wrong, what i need to do. please . thanks thanks

Nice video, i have the mk1 awd kuga.. the one from 2010, also with the duratorq engine, i wonder if its the same procedure as this one🤷♂️
Similar.
@@WMCS thanks for the replay
Just out of curiosity should you release all the gear box Oil out of most front wheel Drives Before starting every job cheers👌🏼
Yes
I didn't do this😢 Is there something that could go wrong, also what is the liquid you use to wash the metal opened mine and found it extremely dirty, I think some of the dirt entered my slave..
Hey Kevin. How much do you charge approx for this job on this car in Birmingham?
Thank you for the video my kuga same age is costing 1,800 hydraulic fluid gone dual mass fly wheel gone clutch gone. Is this the right price theses days?
Quite steep. But then again it depends where you’re taking it.
Great video Kevin. Mine also needs doing, so could you tell me how long that job took you, so that I can quadruple the time to see if it is worth doing myself. 😁

Yes. Just strip front end out completely. Then proceed.
Excellent , and thumbs up from me buddy 👍
Hi kevin ive just come across your TH-cam videos so unbelievable, do you go as far as Stafford m8
great vidoe how long did this job take
Hurray for cordless nut guns😅, takes ages off jobs. Wobble extension essential! Nice showing the body earth under the battery tray too👍🏻
Very true .. I wouldn’t get out of bed without those two items you’ve mentioned. Life wouldn’t be the same.

Ford kuga 2011 it is same procedure?
Dressed like a Ninja, work like a Ninja.
Nice & beautifuly. what did you the milwaukee does not work well .🤔
Hey Kevin, can you put the mileage somewhere for the vehicles you work on? I think this one had 51k looking at MOT history.
Haha - just seen the end of the vid 😅
What car that most difficult to remove parts?.
Alfa Romeo 🙂
It's suprise the car has slightly above 45k miles and it needs new clutch... What was wrong with it?
Are there any torque settings for attaching the gearbox back to the engine?
There’s a torque setting for everything. Even for tying shoes.
@@WMCS 🤣
Roughly how much does this cost? Megane dci 2006. Thanks.
How much will it cost me. I got 2013 AWD Kuga. Pls thanks
The car looked like it was new, wonder why it needed a clutch? Ford sure didn’t want that transmission to come out.

On 2nd thought, a 2016 might well have enough mikes to need a clutch. A 2016 in New York sure wouldn’t look that clean and rust free.
