Stratified flow over topography in the Large Rotating Annulus at the Australian National University

The Large Rotating Annulus (LRA) in the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at the Australian National University. In this configuration the LRA has sidewalls that are maintained at different temperatures, and a radially-aligned solid ridge that is able to be differentially-rotated around the annulus. The interaction between the geostrophic turbulence (eddies) and the topography is of interest.
