I know enough about Music, playing it, singing it and hearing it by so many bands I KNOW HOW GOOD THESE MUSICIANS WERE, ARE, HOW GREAT THE QUALITY OF MATERIAL ETC ...... because as they touch on herein ..... to have the audiences still there, new ones emerge generational & generating new and old CHICAGO songs is singular in this business. God bless !!!
I picked up their first album in '68 and played it at a block party and people kept asking me who they are? I said, the cover says Chicago Transit Authority. It was in the back of a rack of discounted album at our local drug store.. The rest is history too.
CHICAGO @ A&E SESSIONS 2008 Robert Lamm Lee Loughnane James Pankow Walter Parazaider (Ray Herrmann sub) Bill Champlin Jason Scheff Tris Imboden Keith Howland
Zo štyroch pôvodných členov chýba Walter Parazaider, ktorý dostal nápad vytvoriť rockovú skupinu s dychovou sekciou. Inšpirovala ho pieseň Paula McCartneyho Got To Get You Into My Life z albumu Beatles Revolver z roku 1966.
mcdaddydrewpounders I respectively disagree..while Kath was the soul and Cetera was the voice, Lee, Jimmy and Walt will always be the signature of the band and Robert Lamm's writing will always define their history. I have seen them multiple times with Jason and he adds a fresh take on Cetera's stuff. While, Champlain and Pardini bring some of Kath's soul back. But I agree, Kath was a special player/ singer. Gone too soon. Keith honors Kath's playing very respectfully and Tris keeps a solid groove.
Funny nobody ever mentions Danny Seraphine 1 of the original founding members. And Peter Cetera!! Wow really people. It wasn’t it the horn section. It made the band flipping amazing. But if you are going to include only horns. Sorry it’s about the whole lineup!!! Lead vocals bass guitar drums and horns. Those 7 original members AMAZING.

Congratulations to Chicago
Love love their music and how they express themselves

Jim Pankow is the greatest trombonist in the world.
He's no slouch as a songwriter and arranger either.
wrong. these are three of the seven original members. and robert IS one of the lead singers.
Complete interview please
Chicago: one of the most consistent bands of hard working real musicians- of all time.
Chicago ended with Terry Kath's death in 1978. He was the band, not Cetera. He founded and played the arguably greatest guitar ever witnessed.
true
Chicago are true hall of famers.
chicago is the best bend ever, Ilisten them from I was a kid
...the greatest band ever!! If they would give 365 concerts a year in Zurich-Switzerland...I would be there every evening ;o)

These guys have more hits than Led Zeppelin!
So what?
@@MIKECNW truth hurts. Lol
Terry Kath and Peter Cetera was Chicago not this format now!

We must move on. Kath was nice but these guys evolved. The horns were the signature not just the catchy pop ballads
Come on dude. Not true.

@@imagydmusic1129 Kath was nice? Holy shit.
Why have they not been inducted into the hall of fame?
Chicago-rules :)
where's walter? WALTER!!!!!
great vid nonetheless.
What year was this!!??
Why have they not been inducted into the hall of fame yet?
I think the host was flirting with Lee.
Maybe Loughnane could make her ex-wife no. 5.
I bet they regret pushing out Peter Cetera , he had the last laugh it seems
I love Chicago but to knock the Beatles or compare others to them saying they are better is ludicrous.
Daniel Green. finally someone with musical sence!
It's a chemistry thing. It boils down to what your ear says "wow." You really can't compare and it ends up being a waste of time when you try.
Thats not the whole band!! None of the singers are there!!!
Robert Lamm is there
Hoffman? You have a lot of Jews in America.....
Lee Loughnane (he's Irish American)
cetera's ballads made Chicago period
You Sir belong in the Trump administration in charge of alternative facts.
This is laughably incorrect...
Bullshit.
