    I try to make these kind of workshop videos interesting as well informative but it's hard to explain things well, while keeping the interest of you. Feedback about what to do better in these kind of videos is very welcome!

    I'm so impressed! What's so nice beyond sharing the useful tech knowledge is your positive, zen attitude. When my Dad repaired vehicles he was often grumpy. It's lovely to see someone doing it with such a happy attitude.

      Well you have to feel the dedication for the machines. We can work without machines, but it would just make wverything so heavy and hard.

    Amazing job ! And you're a handsome dutch guy.
    I have a 1983 956 AXL and a 1985 845 XL in France

      The old Internationals are great tractors, very little failures, this one unfortunaly seems to happen more often. But it was the first for us.

    Great video, very good mechanic. From Pa. USA, have a 956XL and love it. Never had a
    problem with it yet. I do my own repairs like you. Sorry I just found your channel, love it.

      Thanks! These old internationals are very decent. Ofc stuff breaks, but hey it's 35 years old 😅.

      @@JelleStappers good video mate, so why did the PTO shaft not come straight back from the engine, it seemed to work of a side cog, did this design lead lot of PTO issues, implement issues and fuel inefficiencies?

    • @JelleStappers
      @JelleStappers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@damienfurey this is the first issue with it in 14.000 hours. The international tractors are fuel efficient, we run 24 hours on the 120L diesel it holds while pumping water for the orchard.

      @@JelleStappers yes agree, they are good old work horse particularly the 74 and 85 series! I just I recall from other forums there may have been an issue with the way the 955 offset the PTO setup (perhaps not with the 956)

    Very impressive video. You have great courage to approach a major repair like this. Great use of the magnet to remove debris. I’m watching from Northern Ireland. Over here farmers are spoiled with fancy expensive tractors, which still go wrong, and some of theses farmers still get contractors to do their field work. Older tractors like your 956 are great work horses, and can still do the work of a £100.000 tractor. Are you a mechanic? Thanks for this great video, very well explained and great camera work,well done.

      Thank you very much! The age of machines doesn't matter as long as ther forfill their job as good as a new one😁. Im a agricultural mechanic, fruitgrower and mechatronics engineer, so i can handle most problems if time allows me to.

    Love your video !! I have an 956XL 83 made 4wd but unfortunately French made but great German engine, I don't how you managed to get those parts but the 4wd shaft to shaft is very worn out and wished to have a 1000/ six spline PTO shaft on mine, thank you for the video.👍

    • @JelleStappers
      @JelleStappers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!
      I have never seen a French made one from nearby. I do know they have no fenders and stuff, but idk if other stuff is different aswell.
      I got my parts from a guy who trades alot of these tractors. Every now and then he demolishes one of these. That is quite hard, but unfortunaly to keep the machines running one of the many has to die every now and then :(.
      I think you can also stil get these parts new from CNH.
      They still offer most of the parts from factory as these tractors were build by the masses.
      They always run great and we have very few problems with them. I mean a pto bearing that is crushed after 12000 hours were 5000 were made on a heavy waterpump isn't something unexpected.

    Top job, great tractor! May I ask what the guages on the side of the engine are for?

    • @JelleStappers
      @JelleStappers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sure 😃, its a retrofit engine protectio for running an old engine at a waterpump. Oilpressur, cooling temp and water pump pressure are controlled. If any of them go over or under their setpount the engine gets killed for protection😇.

    ik wilde onlangs een 1056 kopen maar mijn dealer was er tegen.Volgens hem is de handrem band vaak kapot en verdwenenin de achterbrug met allerleivervelende gevolgen.Hoe is dat bij jouw trekker

    • @JelleStappers
      @JelleStappers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Bij die van ons is dat nog nooit gebeurd, ik weet ook niet hoe de handrem intern werkt bij de 956, wel is dit een versie met de handrem aan de stuurkolom wat zeer fijn is.
      Ik heb hem nog nooit bijgesteld of iets, maar als je met de rem erop aanrijdt en de koppeling intrapt zit je met je neus op de vooruit dus hij doet het goed. Als de je de achterbrug moet openen voor de handremband dan zegt dat iets over waar je hem allemaal niet voor hebt hoeven openen in de tussentijd.
