- "Those Were the Days" is a song credited to Gene Raskin, composed by Boris Fomin with words by the poet Konstantin Podrevsky. It deals with reminiscence upon youth and romantic idealism. It also deals with tavern activities, which include drinking, singing and dancing.
The Alexandrov Ensemble is an official army choir of the Russian armed forces. Founded during the Soviet era, the ensemble consists of a male choir, an orchestra, and a dance ensemble.
Special thanks to my great russin friend, Twinklethorne, for the lyrics
An excerpt of this song has been used since 1981 in the "Programa Silvio Santos", in a section called "Show de Calouros", this same Silvio Santos, where his real name was Senor Abravanel who founded his own television station, the "Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão" or simply "SBT" unfortunately the king of Brazilian TV passed away on August 17th, we will never forget him, eternal Silvio Santos
Eterno silvio
Good upload, I knew English, German, and Croatian versions of this song but haven't heard a Russian one until now. The original name of this version is "Дорогой длинной" btw
Don’t miss the French version by Dalida (le temps des fleurs)

My nickname in high school was NIkita Khrushchev since I wouldn't stop talking about him
And I live in brazil, no one has any idea of who Nikita was!
A drunk man that made Russia more poor.
Khrushchev was one of the best the USSR had, great choice Comrade!!! Long live the Revolution, Long live the Soviet Union!! CCCP Forever!! 1917- 1991 we never forget the Soviet Motherland.
he could alive near stalin because he knew some jokes, yey
Khrushchev is unfairly hated, the USSR's best era were the late 50s
@@alexgaelsotorodriguez3870 Khruschev destroyed the socialism with his liberal reforms, that was the first step to the destruction of the USSR
Música esplêndida!
Fico feliz de ver tantos Brasileiros com cultura musical.
FUCKING EXCELLENT! i am not russian but my mom showed me a version of this song from her youth when i was growing up, i was already a fan of the Red Army Choir, magnificent, boistrous bastards! 😄 i hoped this would be a more "roaring" version being made by them, than what i was raised with and it doesn't fucking disappoint! it makes my heart want to roar like a Lion🦁 and yowl like one in pain 😈💪

The song is marvelous. Why did you choose the military images when the song is a romance art song about lost love?
Hello, I did because it was recorded by the red army choir.
Those were the days when Soviet Union carried out world socialism movements. Days gone.
@@1917MSCthey can return
@@c3k4234 no, those days are gone sadly. their time passed and they failed. it is time for a new player to rise and take the reigns. we must stop reminiscing on the past and focus on the present.

Que beleza!
De que te sirve tener tanto poderío militar y nuclear si no lo presumes como lo hacía la Unión Soviética.
Love the song 🤩🤩 love from India
Many USSR!
very Soviet.
There is a deep pain of both joy and sadness that this song makes well up from the heart, and though I am an American I can still appreciate the noble and beautiful, soulful qualities that Russians had maintained which the west has since lost. Such is the terrible fate of the Russian people to be under the heel of sociopaths and tyrants! One day I do hope the bitterness of a century and more of distrust and sabotage will be cleared away and East and west may embrace like lost brothers, and we may both be free from our oppressors, and move into a free and prosperous world together. Until then stay strong, and fight for your freedom, as we fight for ours against bureaucrat and Oligarch and criminal and ideologue alike, together!
shut up. You speak as if the same sociopaths and tyrants that rule over the Russians don't rule over you. At least the Russian tyrants fight for a noble cause. Yours fight for money and imperialist ideals

Соrrect.
Fact: the chorus of this somg is partly sound like Odoriko song sang by Murashita Kouzou

The days of the soviet union were the glory days for the ruaaian people and nobody else in the union or the warsaw pact. Thw rusification of the SSR's and the atrocities were frankly terrible, but its not like it was the only time where people were persecuted or driven from theirs homes. Being a communist or even accused of it may have gotten you beat up or killed by the opps or pretty anyone who did like it which was pretty fair seeing the example of a socialist state was very flawed in almost every aspect and had to claw its way out most situations like WW2 amd Afghanistan. But in general the music made in or during the time of the soviet union was truely a golden age in russia music. Like the second waltz, and those were the days and many more.
