Saw this guys at Reading this weekend, this was the first time I had ever heard of them, the energy they give off is ridiculous, the front man plays a small drum set whilst singing and running around, awesome.
Thank GOD they're not Radiohead. I'm a mom who turns 50 tomorrow and discovering Slaves made me think "Thank God exciting new music is still being made!" I can't listen to this LOUD ENOUGH!
Слушал еще будучи школьником.Пиздец, уже 8 лет прошло, а творчество ребят потерпело некоторых перемен с этого момента. Не могу сказать что в худшую сторону. Здорово что вы остаетесь тем же кем и были)
Toffeeman I was rather baked indeed I know that much. It actually enhanced the whole experience from what would've been "hell yeah I can dig this" to "holy fucking shit what is this I want more".
I'm a young 52 chap, whose grown up with many music tastes ! But now I'm older I appreciate quality! And this track would genuinely make my all time top 100 ,possibly closer to top 20 best tracks ever! I love it still & regularly play it & sing along ! 😆
Don't watch this and Dizzee Rascal's "I Don't Need a Reason" back to back. That eye imagery is hard to watch! Kick-ass video and song! Love how hard they hit! Nice to have some unfiltered guitars and vocals, immensely satisfying!
Don't get me wrong I love all sorts of music, but I'm getting tired of the same old same old. Then I heard you guys. Thank you Slaves. Fucking AWESOME.
I'm glad radio1 are giving these guys loads of airtime. As much as I like Years and years, this is the band of 2015. Headliners of the 'Other' Stage at Glasto 2016?
Never really cared for Punk. I've been a Metalhead for 5 years, but I love this song so much. They managed to carry that aggression through in a softer genre and it sounds great.
i love both genera but honestly if you do a bit of research punk and metal are both born of the same alternative cloth. both came about around the same time and both have many bands that the sound really came from. for punk the whole uk scene was the big deal. metal was more an americana type of thing but both have deep seeds in rock, and an anti-government way of thinking.
Reminds me of how I dated this wicked cool girl who was just in love with the world . Eventually ended because she did not love me. It felt like the sun had gone out for awhile. I used to just plug in anyway I could and use technology to escape that feeling. Whenever I would get bored or start to sink bank in I would find a new tech thing to sedate me. It wasn't until I started working out and listening to Music that I started to regain control. However as in the video, I keep lapsing back to the tech.
@@jess-xt1nm I guess because of that stereotype that, "only white people can participate in the alternative lifestyle", yknow? Like, I'm POC, too, and part of the alternative lifestyle but sometimes it feels like I don't fit in or belong.

I get the point, it's a nice video. But it gave me an adrenaline rush also while giving me nightmares, but I still watch it a lot... Help me I'm going crazy 😂😂👍🏻

Do you ever just hear a song so good you just... Get goosebumps, this is that song.
Local H wolf like me vibes
It wasn't her fault
She made sugar taste like salt
'cos she was so sweet
Now you're shuffling your feet with your hands in your pockets
It wasn't her fault
She made sugar taste like salt
When she walked in the room
You could hear your eyes rolling round in their sockets
Their sockets, their sockets, their sockets
She doesn't know if it's a blessing or a curse
Money in her hand but never any in her purse
Looking at the crowd thinking who's it gonna be
Who's the lucky boy who's gonna quench my thirst
It wasn't her fault, no she didn't have a say
Spending every second wishing they would go away
Tying up her shoes, it's becoming a problem
but that's the way it is and that's the way it's gonna stay
It wasn't her fault she made sugar taste like salt
'cos she was so sweet
Now you're shuffling your feet with your hands in your pockets
It wasn't her fault
She made sugar taste like salt
When she walked in the room
You could hear your eyes rolling round in their sockets
Their sockets, their sockets, their sockets
You can point the finger but she's not the one to blame
For chemical reactions that are starting in your brain
Looking at the crowd thinking who's it gonna be
Who's the lucky boy who's gonna ease my pain
It wasn't her fault and she didn't have a say
Spending every second wishing they would go away
Tying up her shoes is becoming a problem
but that's the way it is and that's the way it's gonna stay
It wasn't her fault she made sugar taste like salt
'cos she was so sweet
Now you're shuffling your feet with your hands in your pockets
It wasn't her fault
She made sugar taste like salt
When she walked in the room
You could hear your eyes rolling round in their sockets
Their sockets, their sockets, their sockets
Ahh!
It wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault
It wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault
Now you can hear your eyes rolling round in their sockets

This song's tune reminds me of "Fell in love with the girl" by White Stripes
Oh for sure, but that song is also based on an old fashioned pick up
or anything the 'The Hives'
ik I freaked out when I saw the resebelance
But even better ...
got a sex pistols influence too
I was looking for another band called Slaves, but these guys are pretty amazing too.
Their far better
The bloody Yank version changed their name to Rain City Drive apparently after Manchester UK which is ironic..
Was just listening to Slaves. 🤘
It's the same band with a name change.
Lmao you get the joke@@terenceturner9490
I'm pretty sure Howtobasic features in this video

joshlikescola if the video gives you a fear it's hardly irrational
@@rubtub1464 irrational means not normal. And if the video makes him scared of sockets. Its an irrational fear.
@Asher Brooks I mean, I'd be pretty afraid of having the plug stab my eyes

totally
For sure, Evil Dead mix with a touch of Monty Python cartoons
THE NEW OASIS BUT MORE FUN! And the 2 musicians are very good for melodies and rock feelling!!!
I completely lost my voice seeing this live!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖

Slaves: Yes. What? Yes.
Have you ever experienced a bad trip?

How is punk a softer genre when the topics are heavier than any metal?
