I would have personally made the fins angled about 10° more. With that angle, they would need a good push in the direction it spins in before it even starts to turn good. Without assistance, it would spin about 90° at best. The trick is that a spinning motion causes less air resistance, meaning it falls faster, giving more kinetic energy. You got the right idea, but didn't go far enough. Plus, it would have made more whistle. Edit: Something I didn't think of when I made this, but spinning would also stabilise it more in theory. Better stability means better accuracy. Better accuracy means better hits. Better hits means better destruction. Better destruction means more fun.
The Go-Pro is causing a lot of drag on the fin, so it's making its fall more slanted. It gives a cool shot, but it might be worth trying some drops without the go pro, or different go-pro placement

Just a heads up the angle of the blades you made are going to make it spin clockwise but you have the whistles on the counter clockwise position! If you change the side they will be even louder!!!

New to the channel, maybe this has been dealt with. The ring on the back of the dart is a bit small for the quick release, so unless you specifically set it on center, it's going to set crooked. Far as I can see, it hangs crooked every time it goes up. A shackle might help, but also something to keep in mind for future projects.

Design recommendation. Your fins only stabilize your dart after it picks up speed. That means for majority of its travel it’s not doing much and is why you aren’t hitting your targets 100% straight on. Change the fin design to a grid fin, similar to what spacex does. It will greatly stabilize your dart.
Couldn’t help but notice the dart landing “wonky” with the GoPro on the highest fin each drop. Might be causing a slight drag/counter weight issue, making it oscillate on the way down.
Broccoli Zimbufoo, I was just going to post the same thing. The Go-Pro is causing drag making it impact at an angle. I suggest the Go-Pro be mounted directly to the shaft of the dart, maybe with a hose clamp, right below the lifting ring. Place an equal sized "dummy" Go-Pro on the opposite side to balance the drag for straight-line impacts. Or, put a second Go-Pro aiming upward on the opposite side. That'll give a different perspective!
The go pro on the one "Finny"is causing more drag on that side, hence you will always have the dart tilting to the opposite side and most likely wont ever fall 100% true straight down.. maybe add another GO Pro on the opposite side to balance it out?? Have a good one... Leon

The go pro on the one "Finny"is causing more drag on that side, hence you will always have the dart tilting to the opposite side and most likely wont ever fall 100% true straight down.. maybe add another GO Pro on the opposite side to balance it out??

@@elchicounsl To balance out the extra drag, matching the size and shape would be way more important than matching the weight. A cardboard box of similar size to the gopro would probably work well enough.
