Also the gaskets also act as a force break and isolate the cases from the plate and PCB.

This is actually really similar to a spring mount that Keybored did on the tofu65.Its cool that you can customise the different spring weights

My guess is the silicone gaskets are to prevent the plate from slamming the top case when the springs return lmao!

For clip-on stabilizers with no screws on the back, the spacebar sounds great. I imagine that it will not have the touch of some durock. But it sounds great. I don't know appreciate any stuttering.
i see akko sells screw in stabs, kinda wish they included that in this kit considering its one of their more premium offerings

I actually like the clip in stabilizers they included more than their screw in stabilizers. I was really impressed. 0 rattle with just a bit of 205 injected into the slide. The super slick plastic they are made of is better than polycarbonate.
Did the pom silver remain unlubed in the sound test? Sounds really good. How do they compare to the cs silvers?
Just received one, have to admit that it looks like really premium one. My concern is that I have issue with backspace and enter stabs (original from box). I lubed them is different ways and still hear some unnecessary sounds :( waiting for steabies though. Thought it would replace my qk65 but I think not, not with the plate mounted stabs.
I noticed ur one of the only popular non faceless (lol)MK TH-camrs that review or recommend Akko keyboards

MK youtubers just hate north facing keyboards since they cannot use their beloved gmk sets without encountering interference

Those silicone gaskets are there to stop the plate from hitting directly the top alu case.

review the zoo 65 (not the zoom) its better than the jris qk65 or qk60 (argueably) its $169 barebones kit no stabs and very flexy
I was thinking about that one ctr video in which is he said keychron is boring and akko was exciting, and now i think thats true. Nothing wrong with boring, but akko only has one issue imo that is minor, which is not using via, but they di have their own software so who knows.

Thank you for your experiment. I think it was a waste of money. The sound is slightly better than tray mount, but it does not match the sound of gasket mount.

Even with the heaviest spring I feel like I'll still bottom these out. Breaking hotswap sockets during typing is one thing, and this board feels like a nightmare to type on.

I don't think during normal typing anyone would break sockets. Maybe during some raging moments where you pound the keyboard...
