I've been bowhunting since 1969 at 8 years old (I'm 62 in December). My father and his partners raised me in the Wallowa's hunting elk on the Minam. I spent every September opener there on horseback and watching Cam hunt brings back so many memories. Last year I got head neck cancer and I have each of Cam's videos basically memorized. He's one of my favorite human beings and I have never even met him. BRAVO to another great video guys and another clean kill CAM. I cherished your videos as this is the first year, I was not able to hunt. It means a lot to me that you keep sharing. Thanks a ton to each of you responsible for this, SOME of us live vicariously through you on occasion, this year was my year for that. Great job again Cam and team!!! Peace! Most people are just here for the harvest...but this man is only human, and as such we need to realize he only gets so many hunts and these that he is sharing are the culmination of a LIFETIME of failures i.e. lessons learned and here is what a APEX bow hunter is, this is literally the pinnacle of physical and mental dedication to self ownership, self improvement. THERE ARE NOT MANY OF THESE MEN IN "MODERN DAY" times, enjoy and if you dare EMULATE.
Watching Cam take in the depth of that logging picture and almost placing himself there imaging the hard work shows you that this man values the art in hard work
Not a hunter, yet, but this is so inspiring and educational. I’m learning so much and it brings me so much joy to watch you through the journey of the prep/hunt/meat as a whole. Thank you so much for capturing these hunts for us!
@CameronHanes I just wanna say thanks for being such an awesome guy and a huge inspiration. It’s crazy to see people throw negativity your way. I don’t understand that at all. Congratulations on an awesome month! And maybe one of these days soon I’ll be able to embark on my first hunt. If you haven’t already, a gear layout video would be so cool! Thanks again for all the inspiration! Every time something gets hard I just look at my wrist band and think of all you’ve done. That definitely helps me to keep hammering.
I really enjoy these videos. Growing up in New Jersey never thought I’d move to the country and become a hunter. I literally learned how to shoot a compound bow from your videos. I’m in love with archery now and that’s my preferred way to hunt.
Thank you for all you do and have brought forth and shared sir. Fantastic work. I’ve only started following your content this year and am already putting aside $ from every check for my first Hoyt (first bow period), running extra miles each week, rucking on my days off, hoping to at least have the opportunity to hunt next September. To you and your team, bravo! It sounds ridiculous, but you’ve had a hand in changing my life. I really can’t thank you enough.
Nice work, and great seeing my buddy Kevin. Didn’t even know you guys were friends. Just got my first elk this year down in Riddle on the melrose unit.
Cam you are the hardest working hunter I know out there!!! That’s grueling on the body, I couldn’t do it but I’d love too!!! Great job love watching!!!!
Lost those photos. My great grandfather was an axman and my grandpa a cabinetmaker and carpenter in the redwoods. Got a few good photos like that at home also.
The white feather reminded me of the legendary Marine Sniper Carlos Hathcock and was definitely an apex predator hunter a predator. Good job Cam on another beautiful Oregon bull!
Cam is the greatest bowhunter alive and probably of all time and we get to watch him do it how cool is that. Backcountry Bowhunting is one of his books I fell in love with his stories ever since I read it
First elk I ever killed was a Roosevelt down off the Alsea River by Little Switzerland inland from Waldport OR. I'm an Oregon mountain man born and raised. Now days N.Idaho is my home/happy place but I'll always be "from Oregon".
Just curious, if hunters always target the best animal they can find, doesn’t that diminish the gene pool of the prey over time. Like eventually our family a few generations down will be hunting effectively the dogs while we were hunting the wolves? Makes me wonder what our ancestors hunted!
Great video no BS approach just raw real life bowhunting. I have a question about the feather you have in the front of your bow is that for knowing the wind direction at the time of the shot or is it for concealment? Thanks keep up the great work.
Cam ….Dawg … you the man don’t matter what you do …you it and we all admire it from you … (you worked hard now go get it )shirts buddy coming soon from the cam … you can use it buddy lol 👍.. luv ya
Ive never hunted rockies. Is there a chance that you or anyone else in the comments could explain pros and cons between the two? I grew up and still live on the base of the olympics.
Simulates bulls rubbing antlers on a tree I’m pretty sure, not sure if it attracts or lets them think that sounds they hear are other bulls so they don’t run

By farrr the best hunting video production; no BS, just good music and HQ footage. Good job as usual - Keep Inspiring.
The cinematography and music choice in this is amazing!

Fellow Oregon Resident. Just found you on TH-cam gearing up to start Elk hunting for the first time at 43. Keep it up for all of us!!
What area are you gonna be hunting in? I'll be at the shoot in Notis on the 28th...
Hard work, discipline, execution. What a beast.
My son who is 14 years old just started his journey of bow hunting! Hope you have a great 2024! We will keep hammering!

Always a pleasure to experience your hunts through the lens.

9:30 ish "that's a cat..." is what you tell yourself when Bigfoot yells at you in the thick of the mountains
The subtle soundtrack was on point
Love this! Thanks for the video, inspirational.
You said powers oregon and I immediately got excited!! I miss hunting back home in Southern Oregon. What way did you go thru Agness or Myrtle Point?

Great video man. Glad to hear you love Utah. That’s where I’m born and raised. Up in cache county
This is a great video. I see evidence of experience watching Cam hunt. He’s a legitimate professional.

Beautiful Shot!!
Beautiful place, great hunt
Gorgeous oregon Herd bull cam!
That was such an awesome video Cam congratulations on all the successes this season!🏹🇺🇸Still trying to fill my Willamette tag so hopefully soon!🤞
99% of viewers don’t truly understand what Cam has done to accomplish what he has. He has to be on the same level as Teddy or Fred Bear.
Awesome video, love the music
Cam is the greatest bowhunter alive and probably of all time and we get to watch him do it how cool is that. Backcountry Bowhunting is one of his books I fell in love with his stories ever since I read it
Great hunt.

I KNEW IT! He is a God of brains & bod!
The neck gave it away, even under the black shirts😉💪❤️🔥
Up outta Eugene sure dont look like up outta Waldport. That thicker ocean side must have its own challenges.
You are an inspiration to be better, lord knows how much I can improve
Nice meat shots at the end 🥩
Awesome hunt!
very very nice video. really love this

That coyote sound was wild. Sounded like a children screaming and then talking
Mad respect
Another piece of Cam's game, is how he's defying age. What he's doing physically is unbelievable. I'm always impressed. Thank you 👊

What camo pattern are you using in this video Cameron?
Ive never hunted rockies. Is there a chance that you or anyone else in the comments could explain pros and cons between the two? I grew up and still live on the base of the olympics.

Honestly that such a beautiful place to hunt

Got your book for Christmas, what do I gotta do to get it signed?
I live in central Oregon I was wondering where you shot this bull congratulations tho
Anybody know what kind of camo Cam has on here? It looks badass.
Can someone explain what hes doing at 8:12? Does this attract them somehow or is he just clearing the way?
Simulates bulls rubbing antlers on a tree I’m pretty sure, not sure if it attracts or lets them think that sounds they hear are other bulls so they don’t run
What beautiful bull not to mention fantastic shot and what about the camera wo r k ?😊
What is the V-shaped device on your front stabilizer?
