Always look forward in getting away from the routine of our normal schedules. I don't work, but did for over 23 years. Will be officially retiring next summer. Hubby plans on working 9-10 more years..but, we are grateful to be here and to enjoy a new day. Have a wonderful and blessed new week-:)
I am a retired nurse, and my husband is retired also. When our children were young we took them camping a lot. We miss those days. Time passes so quickly, enjoy today.
We enjoyed just not having to go in and touch a time clock relaxation and spending time with her son and daughter-in-law new adventures is the time for to relax and family
My wife and I have camped up there in A36 A28 and the tiny home. 2019 we met Pedro the bear! He came up to our rv, open our outdoor refrigerator looked in did not see any food and closed it! I caught that on security camera! The first time we saw him was the first night, I thought it was a raccoon that turned over the trash next door but I soon realized it was a BEAR! He proceeded to walk between us and our RV! I told the maintenance man about it and he said oh that's just Pedro! He said the bear goes threw A section across to B section and over to KOA! I loved the campground, but No internet and No phone service.😂😊 We love ya'lls channel!!!
For us, it's the drive over the mountain and hitting the back roads. There is one pull off right before newfound gap that we stop every time. The view is unbelievable. I always thank the Lord for the gift of bringing me back.
We were married in Gatlinburg the end of October 2001 and we always try to make it down there that time of year. We're both retired, but have part time jobs so we can make more trips. You all take care and hug that sweet Big T for us. We had a pug and miss her terribly. God Bless❤

Love the river RV spot and dinner right on the edge in a covered picnic table! Pretty pool area! We love the Montreal Chicken seasoning, just ate some on chicken legs😊! Burgers look great! What's best about taking vacation time is doing things you enjoy and if you take a week or more forgetting what day it is because you aren't in a hurry for the weekend! The fireside chat, I had a similar conversation with my coworker the other day. That dopamine high you get from planning a trip and looking forward to a trip is the best feeling. But it’s also nice to get back to your normal routine of going home and working and doing it all over again to get the next trip planned. It’s all perspective.
For seceral years in the 90s we camped there every summer with a bunch of our church friends. One summer we had 90+ people camping there. It was called Tremont Hills then. It was very nice but has been vastly improved since those days. Many great memories from there.

We bought our Friday’s Forever Smoky Mountain Travel Planner for a week long trip in the Spring of 2022. Each night we wrote in detail what we did for the day. It is so fun to read our trip details and reminisce. Highly recommend doing this.

Little River Campground is another nice campground in Townsend. They have a farm/ranch that adjoins the campground that has exotic animals. Very peaceful.

I was there last Saturday to visit family. They rented the tiny homes and we had the pavilion for a after wedding party. What a beautiful resort. My family from NH enjoyed it immensely. I live in Pigeon Forge, but I might have to go and stay with our tent ⛺

We really enjoyed this video. We have camped there several times and were actually in the same site in 2018. You mentioned bears. When we were there a few years ago, Little Arrow had regular dumpsters by the bath house, not the new bear proof bins they have now. I came out of the bath house one night and walked back to our site and wondered why everyone in the campground was staring at me. Little did I know there was a mama bear and two cubs inside the dumpsters as I walked by haha. Thankfully, they were more interested in the trash than me. We look forward to returning in the future. I know what you mean about wishing your life away. I retired early after 20 years of teaching school and I still look forward to the weekends. Harold still hasn’t retired, he is a contractor, and loves what he does. I loved teaching, but it was time to retire. We go on adventures outside of where we live in Nashville. Harold and I go out in the country and go down country roads and explore. One time, for example, we saw the most beautiful peacocks. One walked right up to our SUV. it was fun. We have seen all kinds of interesting things. The mountains in the Gatlinburg area are our favorite adventures. We also enjoy our adventures at the beach on the Gulf of Mexico, but the mountains are our favorite. Can’t wait to come up in September to celebrate Harold’s birthday. We are going to go on some of your adventures, like Grandfather Mountain. I will try not to wish my life away by living for trips or the weekends. A good thing to think about. 😊 Gail Taylor

We enjoy just getting back to nature whether it’s the beach, the mountains or in the woods. God’s beautiful design work is so evident in nature! We’re visiting Little Arrow this weekend and attending the Bigfoot Festival! This will be our first visit to Little Arrow and the festival.

Smash burgers are the best. For some unknown reason they taste better than fat burgers. Fried potatoes, one of my favorites. What a nice campground. You are living the dream.

Glad you did check it out. It is a place I've looked into but never have stayed. Went as far as going in and getting information from them. I like that it's next to the park in Townsend just between Cade's Cove and Gatlinburg. Big T looked so chill at the campfire. Those fire pits are nice. Your riverside spot was perfect. Thanks once again for showcase another campsite and sharing your experience.
Your smash burgers looks delicious! Fried potatoes are my favorite and my oldest granddaughter loves them too. I love your videos, my mom was from Sylvia North Carolina and an amazing cook. We bought a Blackstone griddle while in Townsend last week at the Ace Hardware. My husband seasoned it and it bowed up in the middle. So, he being a welder went to work on it and fixed it. But it shouldn't have done that.

I'd always keep wishing for the weekend to be here because, in the past I couldn't wait till Saturday got here to go enjoy my Saturday night out at The Pickin' Parlor where my friend Roger Springer gave me lifetime tickets that didn't last a lifetime to all the shows there. I got to meet some of my favorite Country Music Singers. I guess I was wishing my life away on that. Mike, I love Peeps and wish I had some way to roast me some marshmallows. We have driven by that campground many times . Now we know what it looks like. Nice river side site. We enjoyed your fireside chat. About to start packing up to head down for some camping in Cades Cove. This will be the first trip with the Class A.
What a beautiful place . I keep thinking I can’t wait to retire in about two years / then I keep telling myself just to enjoy each day the good Lord gives us . My dream is to come to your area for a vacation when I retire/ may have to get on a senior citizen bus by myself . My daughter is a stressed out school teacher and she relaxes by sitting out at night by her fire pit/ it has a chimney that takes the smoke up above her which is nice . I enjoy traveling with y’all and Big T. Enjoy the fireside chats / your like family .

We really enjoyed this video. We have camped there several times and were actually in the same site in 2018. You mentioned bears. When we were there a few years ago, Little Arrow had regular dumpsters by the bath house, not the new bear proof bins they have now. I came out of the bath house one night and walked back to our site and wondered why everyone in the campground was staring at me. Little did I know there was a mama bear and two cubs inside the dumpsters as I walked by haha. Thankfully, they were more interested in the trash than me. We look forward to returning in the future. I know what you mean about wishing your life away. I retired early after 20 years of teaching school and I still look forward to the weekends. Harold still hasn’t retired, he is a contractor, and loves what he does. I loved teaching, but it was time to retire. We go on adventures outside of where we live in Nashville. Harold and I go out in the country and go down country roads and explore. One time, for example, we saw the most beautiful peacocks. One walked right up to our SUV. it was fun. We have seen all kinds of interesting things. The mountains in the Gatlinburg area are our favorite adventures. We also enjoy our adventures at the beach on the Gulf of Mexico, but the mountains are our favorite. Can’t wait to come up in September to celebrate Harold’s birthday. We are going to go on some of your adventures, like Grandfather Mountain. I will try not to wish my life away by living for trips or the weekends. A good thing to think about. 😊 Gail Taylor

We know some folks who camp there every visit. We drove through there our last visit to check it out. Are there people who don't like fried potatoes? I dont think I'd trust them 😄. Give Big T i big squeeze for us. Hope yall have a great work week.
Other than the price we really enjoyed our stay. Larger sites and the option to be on the river is nice. Yes, trust & like of potatoes must go together haha. Big T says hi. God bless!

We like being out in nature and walking the trails when we are camping. Georgia State Parks and Corps of Engineers campgrounds are our favorites.

Awesome campground! Smash burgers are the best. For some unknown reason they taste better than fat burgers. Fried potatoes, one of my favorites. What a nice campground. You are living the dream.

Glad you did check it out. It is a place I've looked into but never have stayed. Went as far as going in and getting information from them. I like that it's next to the park in Townsend just between Cade's Cove and Gatlinburg. Big T looked so chill at the campfire. Those fire pits are nice. Your riverside spot was perfect. Thanks once again for showcase another campsite and sharing your experience.

Your smash burgers looks delicious! Fried potatoes are my favorite and my oldest granddaughter loves them too. I love your videos, my mom was from Sylvia North Carolina and an amazing cook. We bought a Blackstone griddle while in Townsend last week at the Ace Hardware. My husband seasoned it and it bowed up in the middle. So, he being a welder went to work on it and fixed it. But it shouldn't have done that.

I'd always keep wishing for the weekend to be here because, in the past I couldn't wait till Saturday got here to go enjoy my Saturday night out at The Pickin' Parlor where my friend Roger Springer gave me lifetime tickets that didn't last a lifetime to all the shows there. I got to meet some of my favorite Country Music Singers. I guess I was wishing my life away on that. Mike, I love Peeps and wish I had some way to roast me some marshmallows. We have driven by that campground many times . Now we know what it looks like. Nice river side site. We enjoyed your fireside chat. About to start packing up to head down for some camping in Cades Cove. This will be the first trip with the Class A.

What a beautiful place . I keep thinking I can’t wait to retire in about two years / then I keep telling myself just to enjoy each day the good Lord gives us . My dream is to come to your area for a vacation when I retire/ may have to get on a senior citizen bus by myself . My daughter is a stressed out school teacher and she relaxes by sitting out at night by her fire pit/ it has a chimney that takes the smoke up above her which is nice . I enjoy traveling with y’all and Big T. Enjoy the fireside chats / your like family .
