Another one of my fave Koji Kondo standards from the N64 era.
When I was in high school I played this live at a Barnes and Noble with a vibes player XD
This one isn't quite as much in the "Masa" style as some of my others but his influence always makes its way into these tunes somehow!

What's a vibes player?

He played vibraphone, or more specifically in that case something called a Mallet Kat that's essentially a MIDI vibraphone (way lighter and gets its sounds from a computer database)

With the name and looping vid I'd have guessed he mashed Lost Woods from OOT with the scrapped Wood Zone from Sonic 2 but iirc that zone's music ended up being used in Metropolis.
