The best shopkeeper for selling you stuff you never wanted was Auntie Wainwright (played by Jean Alexander) in Britain's longest running sitcom, Last of the Summer Wine, which ran from 1973 to 2010 !
Sometimes when I'm shopping and there's an assistant restocking the shelves and lugging a cage of products around, I trot out the line about them being "a very bold shoplifter". It usually gets a laugh. One time they even responded by telling me to "fer-fetch a cloth".
Squirrel for your information if you see the milk float and it is dark as in the begining of this episode it will be morning. The milk was a;ways delivered in the morning.
$3.29 for a breadloaf. I remember visiting SF where my Brother lives in 2002. A packet of Biscuits was the equivalent to £2.50 in the Safeway Food Superstore. I buy bread back home now and it's 89p. Thats the cheap bread. The regular is between £1.30 and £1.50.
Granville doesn’t seem bothered over the prospect of serving drunks after 9pm when he’s already done a full shift in the shop. Then there’s washing everything up and picking up the litter on the street. See how Arkwright doesn’t help
Not sure if any one mentioned you check out Acorn Antiques. Its a spoof behind the scenes of an antoques shop with terrible acting. Julie Walters Victoria mother in Dinnerladies is a class act as well.
If you like Mrs Blewett (played by Kathy Staff) then forget Only Fools & Horses and check out Last Of The Summer Wine, she's hilarious as Nora Batty, then watch Only Fools & Horses
I you want more of david Jason's iconic roles. None is more iconic(at least to me) than del trotter in only fools and horses. I recommend after this show trying only fools and horses
Squirrel if you do react to Only Fools and Horses you need to read up on Cockney Rhyming Slang so you can understand a lot of the dialogue. There are various dictionaries telling you the meanings like Apples and Pears is Stairs, Cream Crackered is tired (knackered), Boat Race is face and the long list goes on😂

Another classic series you must watch is Dads Army.
Your taste is fantastic squirell.
Wait for the black widow, mrs featherstone in season 3 and 4.
And yet I know people who never realised that Mrs Featherstone and Mrs Blewit aren’t the same character, but they’re clearly different.
Thanks again Tony much much appreciated seeing your reaction to this fantastic show much much more & funny episodes coming up mate
This show was way ahead of it’s time today everything is mobile 😂❤🐿️
Repeats of this programme currently go out at 4.00 o.clock in the afternoon 😀
Dinnerladies is fantastic.

Hi squirrel, love your reactions. I love this classic show. xx
Another good series from Roy Clarke, apart from last of the summer wine, is keeping up appearances
the prop and FX guys must have worked overtime on this one

As the series go on Arkwright has his regular customers and those who pop in and out which all adds to the interest of the storyline for each episode.
with OFAH - like OPAH - check the backgrounds/set dressing
David Jason did a crime drama A touch of Frost playing a police Detective.

I’ve currently just started only fools on Patreon. Gets blocked here.

I can see a little bit of a young Peter Sellers in young Granville.
For a one off watch David in 'the colour of magic'
Spoiler alert - when you get to Still Open All Hours - well let’s just say Mavis and Granville❤
Hello Squriell.
🎉🎉🎉
How about doing the top 5 songs in the uk charts on the day you were born?
It's Arkwright's fault for being so stingy...
