Beautiful shaker cards, Meg!! These look so fun! I’ve been wanting to participate in this collab since you first mentioned it. And I’m determined to jump in, even if I’m terribly late. ❤❤❤

I love the idea of using illustrations from children’s’ books as the background for the shaker cards! I never thought of that, but it’s such a great idea! I used vellum on my first shaker card and I didn’t like how it came out because, as you said, it was translucent and you couldn’t see the glitter and stuff clearly. I like the little beads you use in yours, too. They make a fun sound!

Meg, I never thought of using a plain sheet to make a shaker card. So much easier! (And the pink and orange is my favorite ) Hugs🌸

Thank you for sharing your acetate find! Also explaining how you make the shaker cards was very helpful (seed beads). I’m going to definitely try doing it that way 😊TFS

Oh, I agree with you on the cakes. Those, what they call, "naked cakes" aren't my thing. Besides, the cake is the vehicle for the wonderfulness that is frosting! Cute shaker cards. I never use them for some reason. Putting the seed beads in to lift the acetate is a good idea. I wouldn't have thought of that.

My mom just gave me a box of birthday cards and stuff from when I was a little kid. They would work great for this. Then I could share too.

Hi Meg - I love how your shaker cards turned out! I have actually been making Halloween shakers lately. Too funny we were working on the same thing! I usually use the foam and die cut machine to make shaker cards but the way you have shown is definitely fun too! I have seen that a lot of people recently have been using actual edible sprinkles in their shakers as well. I have yet to try that. xo Mary

Meg, I have a tip for dealing with the static in a shaker card. Before you sew it down, wipe it with a dryer sheet. Something I learned from some mini album designers I follow. 🙂

Not a huge sequins fan, but do like the concept. Might adapt with a different filler thank you for showing these!
