I've never heard of this dude before but he crushed it. This is one of my favorite Mariah songs (yes, I know she's not the original singer either) and he killed it. Great version.

@@charlesallison146 I know that everyone after Harry copied his way of singing the song, but what I and @raymoosegaming7860 wanted to point out was that even Harry made a copy. Since Harry sang Without You in a completely different way than Badfinger, it was his version that became the hit song!
And I just love Erik's version which is similar to Harry's from 1972.

Erik is a fantastic singer! The original band for this song was the band "Badfinger" (British Band) and released this song in 1970. Sadly, singer Pete Ham suffered from depression and committed suicide in 1975. And in 1983, tragically, another band member, Tom Evans, committed suicide, he never got over his friend's death and battled with royalties over the song "Without You"
against another former band member. I didn't want to spoil the nice atmosphere with Erik's lovely interpretation of this song, i just wanted to contribute some facts for the sad end of these two band members who created the original version of this fantastic song. And also thank you Britt for another lovely reaction video!❤❤
What you said about rock and metal singers is true. I would argue that if we were to go through all the singers that have ever put their voice on a record and some how objectively look at the skillset of these singers the list would consist mainly of rock singers with sprinkle of jazz, rnb, gospel and classical occasionally, it is absurd how many skilled singers there are within rock and metal. Very few top100 artists of the last 30 years would make the list.

There are some very great rock singers. Jonathan Roy for one and Allen Stone. This was a very pretty rendition of this song. You really need to listen out of your comfort zone sometimes.

If you want a real treat that totally proves your point, check out these guys: Eugent Bushpepa's (from Albania) cover of She's Gone by Steelheart and Dino Jelusick's (from Croatia) cover of Jane by Starship. Badfinger are worth checking out in their own right. They had several worldwide hits in the late 60s/early 70s, e.g. "Come and Get It", "Baby Blue," "Day After Day" and "No Matter What"

Did not hear Badfinder's version until much later. Plus, they do not hold the notes as long as Harry and Erik does. Harry turned it more into a Ballad compared to how Badfinger sang it.

Harry Nilsson made this a hit! Badfinger members Pete Ham and Tom Evans wrote and recorded it first but Harry made it what it is, a classic ballad. This version is very close to Harry's.
Just because you asked....your pronunciation of his name was wrong. You made the same mistake almost every native english speaker makes. The letter "ö" in Grönwall is used in scandinavian and german languages. It should NOT sound like "o" (honour, Ford), the correct pronunciation is more like in "turn" or "hurt". This would be not absolute precise but close enough.

He is really not pushing himself and it really is a Mariah Carey song. He is an incredible singer. You should hear him do Whitney Houston. He is no Whitney as no one is but he is good.

The veins aren't because of straining, he is as slim as a very very slim thing. Not an ounce of fat on that body. Not a millimeter of subcutaneous fat. So they veins show because they work and aren't hidden.
Also, the veins showing isn't bad anyway, it's if the tendons are showing you should start to worry.

But it is Mariah Carey's arrangement of the song he uses in the video. The earlier popular version by Harry Nilsson or the writers Badfinger are vastly different.
