Great question. Yes ArcGIS Pro does have that capability. There is a geoprocessing tool in ArcGIS Pro called Match Layer Symbology To A Style in the Data Management toolbox which does this.
ArcGIS Pro does not currently support the chart symbology type. Not sure it it will. ArcGIS Pro will only support symbology types that are supported by ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS. Those only support symbology types which are efficient to use with web services.

How do you export a custom symbology layer to a style file?
With Arcmap you would have the a tailor made style and by symbology you would match it with the data. Can this be done with arcpro ?

It's annoying how complex it is to just add a $ sign to information.
I guess I am just accustom to it now. It does not bother me.
