The next time you wanna do a layer cake you can cut your cakes in half like how you leveled the top but like cut it half way down too and you’ll get the layers you want without the massive amount of cake lol but you did amazing!!!
or use 2 pans and bake half the batter in each so you get thinner cakes.

Tips: 1. Make 2 cakes and slice em in half for 4 layers, better ratio
2. To sift, ne need to shake that much and hurt yourself. Just hold the sifter and lightly tap the sides.

Regarding that, normally, a four layer cake would be 2 cakes cut into 2 layers so you get a total of 4 cake layers. That's usually why the cake layers aren't as thick as yours. Each cake you made looks like it could maybe be separated in to 3 or 4 layers though. Also, I'm sorry to inform you but that would be considered a 2 tiered cake but 4 layers. Great start on your baker path though. Also, it might make you feel better to know that Ro also uses straws as dowels.

I'm always surprised that Lauren doesn't ask Rosanna for baking advise or watch Rosanna's videos when attempting to do this stuff.
