I have the exact same story. I was bullied at work for so long, after raising it up to my boss, they ended up firing me instead. I went back to my home country and my brother also died that same day that I went home. I felt so crushed, but months later, now I found a good job with a good pay, and I get to open up my own business at the side. April 21 was my 62nd birthday and I spent it at home with my family and eating quesadillas for dinner and ice cream cake for dessert 🎂. I am choosing myself because I am retiring April 30 God willing. I'm a little nervous because I am hoping my retirement benefits kick in once I stop receiving my paycheck and I really don't know what I plan to do except try to catch up on my rest that I know I need. The job that I am leaving has become for a while too stressful with work, no help and toxic environment. My past manager was all about making herself look good and if you didn't follow that agenda there would be bullying and gossip. Because of this I decided I am retiring now. Perhaps I might go for another job in the future that I will love but for now I need to do this. Great to know that my future looks bright and happy and Prosperous.
