I don't think they will cut someone, they can't. But at the same time, I really hope we are not in the denial phase

They definitely won't cut. It's just how the video was edited. I bet Yang Hyunsuk will get hated again for this haha If this was not his intention, he probably should fire whoever edited the teaser 😅.
After watching all the introduction videos, some fans have already speculated that something like this might happen. All of the content in the introduction video took place when they auditioned until the end of 2021. They didn't have any 2022 content at all, so some fans speculated that something might happen in 2022 and that they had to split it up. Maybe go to the new survivor game.
One thing that still comforts the fans is that until today, all 7 members are still with YG. A few days ago, all 4 foreign members were seen going out walking together. As for the 3 Korean members, they should go to school together. Because the school in Korea has just started a new semester. On March 1st, someone just posted Pictures of AHYEON and HARAM going to the same high school together for the first day.
They want show you guys how competitive it could be. There are many talented girls didn’t make it to the 7. And it didn’t mean they were bad. But when it comes to YG. The style and uniqueness is really matter.
If you ask me base on YG standards and style
For sure; Ruka, Ahyeon, Chiquita
Not sure: Pharita, Haram, Asa, Rora
The vocal position will be Haram vs Pharita
Rora is very talented but maybe not YG style
And Asa Rap voice is not so YG style since they want to make them so unique
But I want them all 7 to debut.
This is my opinion is based on being YG fan for almost 20 year.
YG was very smart to build BM on an individual level to make you emotionally attached to each member. they learned from Blackpink how impactful this is.
This is just the final stage of that. To make us feel worried for one of the members. in the end it will be 7 for sure. they just want us to get us emotionally attached to each individual member as much as possible.
Like treasure. Teumes really have emotional attachment with each members. It helps to build strong fandom
I still believe that they will debut as 7.
I think It's just how YG did it. He said that to make them pushing their limit. Making this project sounds no guarantee for all the seven members, so they will be competitive and improving.
The next videos will shows us why they are all deserve to be in one group, Babymonster. So we wouldn't simply judge them just from Live Perf & Intro.
That narrative is what I think YG wanna make both to Babymonster and Fans. The twist is all of them were so good that they gonna debut as one team.

Mostly certain that all 7 will debut. In addition to the points made in this video, 2 other points come to mind..
1) YG also couldn't make up his mind on the number of members in Treasure. In the end, they had almost double the number of members debut in the group than he originally planned.
2) Pharita and Chiquita are a lock for the group. There is no way they have just any trainee (Thai or not) have a sit down meet up with Lisa only to then let either one of them soon leave. They couldn't possibly waste Lisa's time and do her dirty like that.
After Winner, Ikon and Treasure, I don't believe a word of what he's saying. And 2nd, no, actually they would do exactly that, waste Lisa's time to get engagements and do everyone dirty. For the record, of the two YG values Chiquita more it seems. She's being styled more and more alike like Lisa. She's safer than Pharita is atm.

The 2nd point is a theory and an attempt to interpret whatever clues we have from the vids but nothing is out of the realm of possibility in the industry. YG seems to be (oddly) supportive of each of the 7 so it's an optimistic point of view but we'll soon know how it all played out
I really think this is just drama, because Haram and Ahyeon just entered Hanlin together and Ruka, Asa, Pharita and Chiquita was seen together in the streets hanging out, the only one that no one saw was Rora, but the girl is so freaking good vocally that YG would be a blind moron to not put her in the line up.

OMG same, but the difference is that I can't even process Jisoo's solo poster. I didn't know it was coming so I've been waiting for BabyMonster video first. I watched it and I felt heartbroken. Then I see Jisoo's solo poster but my heart is too broken to feel really happy. Jisoo's solo poster cheer me up a bit but the sadness from this Baemon video still lingers.

I couldn't agree more. Because it's too cruel if YG is really going to do that. I think it seems to be more of a storytelling technique. Just a situation where some obstacles come in make the fans highly encouraged. And it will be a happy ending in the end.

As I said, this has always be a YHS/YG thing and it is not new to YG stans. We’ve experienced this with BIG BANG, WINNER, IKON, and TREASURE.. heck even BLACKPINK.. originally there were more members/trainees and some of them got cut or left the company.
If you remember in all of the girl’s intro videos you’ll see other trainees and their faces were blurred out meaning they did not make the final line up.
YHS and his words and the teaser itself is very misleading and that was INTENTIONAL. This is their marketing strategy and it is creating attention to BABY MONSTER. Will he keep all 7 members? We just have to wait and see.

What I did say elsewhere that I'll bring up here: In the video, YG talks about the selection process to get down to the final members before introduction, like it had already happened. We may just get to see how they cut down from 10 to seven.
Yg is making his own strategy to get what he wants for BM's and it's their determination, confidence,trust,and especially on how they will showcase their own talents more... They may make it a competition to know how competitive they are at the same time and have trust and care for each other. Because he knew there were a lot of fans already loved them. And also its all about money

This type of marketing strategy actually annoys me so much
If they really cut somebody out at this point, it might alienate a large portion of the fandom. So I suspect as well that this teaser is a a calculated marketing stunt to create more attention counting on fans being emotional invested into all 7 members. My theory would be, that YG hopes that we fans will be even more invested and also thankful to YG when he "luckily" decides to hear the fans and let all 7 members debut together. BUT I worry, that some fans now might start stupid fanwars about who of the 7 members deserves it more to be in the group and who is not good enough. And imagine being one of the 7 members seeing "your" fans arguing that you're not good enough. If the reveal that all 7 will be in the group doesn't follow very soon, this might still split and damage the fandom as well as YGs image. So either way (marketing stunt or not), I'm not convinced the attention is worth that risk. At the very least it feels highly emotionally manipulative and might damage YG again playing such games with fans.

All of this is pre-filmed and the teasers that have already come out cover all 7 members, so it seems like he said that with the intention of not debuting 7, but after seeing the last evaluation, decided on 7 because they fit so well together. I think you don’t need to worry about it, just relax. I can be sure that Baby has 7 members and this is a document, YG always works clearly, so if they don’t sure, they won’t upload all of introduce. You can see those introduce’s members, there were a lot of trainees with blurred faces. They participated in that survival show, and they failed

Let suppose that they are really going to remove some members, I think the final evaluation that would determine who would stay just occurred in front of our eyes and that was their personal performances. They wanted to see how much the public loves the members and the members that would have the least reactions would be kicked out and if you pay attention the producer said « WAS HELD» meaning that that evaluation already occurred . ALSO did you notice that they are far more vocalists than rappers? If YG really want to remove some members it would be one of the vocalists. I love all of them but I think that they one’s to remain ( if they really do that ) are Haram,Ahyeon, Asa, Ruka and Rora and maybe Chiquita.

I feel like the group must have: Asa, Chiquita, Pharita, Rora, and Ruka. Also, considering she's able to rap, and sing I don't see YG cutting Ahyeon. That leaves a question mark on Haram. Asa is too good of a rapper to cut. Ruka needs to be there because they won't be balanced without at least one more rapper, and I don't think Ahyeon is a strong enough rapper to balance the group if you don't also have Ruka. Chiquita will be there because of her charms and energy. Rora and Chiquita also have such incredibly emotive voices, that it would be silly to get rid of them, especially because they give you different sounds. Pharita gives you those beautiful power vocals. I like Haram, and I want her in the group, but logically, and in my mind, she seems to be the only potential member YG might cut. Again, I don't like it, but this is the only thing that would make sense to me.

Good point. Survival show, and a final blast in which YG “redeems” himself and emotionally accepts that no one deserves to go. BUT. Past survival shows like Nizi Proyect (Niziu), LOUD and especially Sixteen (Twice) tell a different story. We got emotionally attached and contestants were eliminated. I really fear it could be true.

im scared because someone said that their friend from Korea only saw 5 girls at the YG building in February and if you look at their introducing videos only 5 of the girls had a white outfit photoshoot and that was Pharita Rora Chiquita Haram and Asa and people are saying that that was a photoshoot for the final members but in Ahyeon and Ruka introducing videos they didn't have clips from that all white photoshoots only the lights color photoshoot.
personally. i feel smaller group will somehow have better resource for individual member, that means higher chance the individual member able achieve success beside the group's achievement. while in group activities also everyone will receive more focus evenly and not having some members receive more attentions than others.
However, after all those introducing videos, it is kinda risky now if YG eliminate member from the lineup. especially after we all know how good each and everyone is. it is possible some will get hate knowing they remain while somebody's prefered member dont get in.
also if some of the girls really dont get in, it will be cruel to them coz everyone knows that is once the babymonsters member that dont make the final lineup.

I believe Chiquita will not make it to debut. Although she is overhyped, she doesn't deserve to debut because she only had 3 months of training and it would be unfair to the others who spent years of training and she is too young to debut.
I believe Ruka , Asa and Ahyeon are the safest. These are more deserving than Chiquita.
if any of them are eliminated there is a possibility that those who are eliminated will be formed into another group, not that I hope so, but in my opinion, YG thinks it will be a loss for them to be united into one group because it will cause their talent not to stand out if they are made into one group it will but if they are made into 2 groups it can make them stand out, that's my opinion

Let's watch at this from the brighter perspective in the case that they really do kick some members out (which I doubt they will)
1. Girls will leave a company who was so horrible to do something like this. (I personally will feel more bad for the girls who have to stay there with 7 years contract)
2. YG did a great favour to the kicked out girls who are now already well known and loved. They could debut with another group (groups) under another label in just few months.

If you saw the making of BIGBANG they were six at the beginning. You saw them interacting with each other, practice hard and saw their parents.
However, YG said he would eliminate 2 and make BB a group if 4 and he did.
The only reason BB became 5 was because Seungri did such a good job in convincing YG that BB needs him.
So based on that it’s hard to guess. Who knows, maybe he’ll make the one he eliminates a solo artist.

I can't agree with you. I think YG isn't kidding. Emotions, feelings and bondings doesn't matter to YG, but efficiency does. I think they think that have lesser members is more efficient. And Maybe they are right too. Look at blackpink, just 4 members and they became the most successful ever.

Honestly best way they should of done it was shown this trailer first then do the individual live performances and introductions after. Then have a final selection video. This way fans aren't blind sided and if he cuts someone it won't have a huge impact on losing fans and if he keeps everyone even better. I feel this way they'll have even more fans and will praise YG for keeping everyone if he does. The way they're doing this now seems cheap and unnecessary. Like just leave this part out if you're just going to keep everyone or good job losing a part of the fan base by cutting someone.

I think it's more likely that YG used the introduction videos as an online workshop to gather information on who were the top faves. We've all watched reaction videos where folks called out who were the stronger members and I think you'll find out that YG's final selection will mirror that.
