Youn know...juding the way they both move during this entire thing makes me think of two scenarios.
Scenario One: Creepypasta Gold is trying desperately to forewarn Gold of the same thing that befell him all the while Gold is trying to get some answers from him but he's just making nonsense and screaming since the ghost is literally fighting the unown's control.
Scenario Two: Creepypasta Gold runs into an alternate version of himself (Since he is from Old Gen.2 and the Gen.4 Gold is his successor) and cannot believe that he has been forgotten but this Gold is trying to explain to his predecessor that he is not forgotten and is in fact the main reason he exists in the first place (His hand motions look like someone trying to reason with someone) while trying to make sense of the whole situation.
Either way this is a uncanny valley level of weird but good.

There are now seven games that are canon to the main series timeline. However, the order of release is certainly not the same as the games' chronological order, especially after the release of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach.

Okay, if there was a story behind this cover it would be this:
Gold suffered through what was described in the original creepypasta but one of his Pokemon he used to have tries to revive him. It fails, and then Monochrome plays and he encounters BF. After that, his Pokemon tries to help him again and he peeks into the world he used to be in, outside of the afterlife. His dead spirit lurks in the afterlife until he finally finds his body, and it healed from being ripped apart. Dead Gold is shocked and before he tries to regain control of his body he imagines if he was alive again. He remembers how he rapped with BF, but he was still dead. He starts imagining this battle with his former self. After he stops his memory, he is able to fully exit the afterlife. He regains control of his body and he's alive.
