That is exactly how you treat botfly. You have to suffocate them so they come to the surface of the wound so that you can grab them to remove them.
Mocha said the same thing: Looks like a botfly larvae and extraction starts @4:51. They put vaseline (I think) on the hole to encourage the larvae to surface for oxigen then extract them with tweezers. You can't just pull them out because they have spikes on their body to latch on to human flesh to make sure they dont get dislodged easily.

Wir nehmen es mit nach Hause!
Wenn wir abgelenkt sind oder schlafen, berühren uns diese Fliegen und hinterlassen viele Eier! Am Ende reiben wir uns die Hände, wo immer wir wollen, und die Eier gehen unter die Haut und beginnen zu wachsen und sich zu einer Larve zu entwickeln, die viel größer ist als die im Video, und dann wachsen schwarze Haare darauf! Allerdings lassen wir es nicht wachsen! Man sagt, dass, wenn es zu groß und behaart wird, es herauskommt und dann die Eier schlüpfen, wodurch mehr Fliegen entstehen! Das passiert nicht nur Menschen! In English, there are flying insects that lay eggs becoming larvae that burrow into skin of humans and animals. They will come out for air. Natives may cover the area w clay/mud and the larvae will come to the surface for oxygen to breathe, but only the mouth portion. I cannot speak German, but I think this is such a species in her leg. (I think she mentioned Mexico). Look up Botfly. It does this if native to that country.

Isso é um Berne que deve ter bastante na tua região..É a larva de uma mosca. Costumam retirar até com gordura suína. Coloca em cima tampa o buraco o bicho sobre procurando oxigenio. Não causa nenhum estrago. Agora se tentar puxar, espremer etc ele tem uma espécie de lixa e vai se prender lá dentro e soltar um veneno igual bicho da borboleta. Vai causar grande infecção. Anti tetanica em dia e pra isso sim deve tomar ivermectina. É o que se dá ao gado para o bicho não infecta los.
