    Although seemingly not such an important topic, there is no good table tennis without gluing good and high-quality glue. Professionals do not have to think about how, when and with what to stick the rubber on the blade, that is done for them by a special person in charge, but for amateurs it is a very important topic. And it's not just about which glue we'll use when gluing, but it's more important which glue comes off quickly and efficiently and doesn't damage the surface of the racket. Thanks to Dario for this professional presentation 👍

    Thank you Dario, I'm using DHS 15, I'm happy. You are correct thst you used for the test the Chinese rubbers. If you take softer rubbers, you won't be able to remove it at all. I have trubles to remove only 2 layers of glue from the rubber... it usually goes with sponge dummage... So, if the sponge is not hard better don't remove 2 layers from the rubber... wait until 4 or more glue layers are on the rubber. I damaged a couple of my rubbers before I realized that. If i don't use DHS 15, i would need to wait even more layers than 4 to remove it safe. If you use DHS wait 40-60 minutes to get it dry, even longer 60 if you are not sure.

    Hi , Dario. Thank you for the detailed review. Talking about the Revolution No.3 Normal (the least viscous), and not "improved" w/out ammonia. The first few times I used it was painfully difficult to remove from the sponge. Nevertheless after sealing very well my blades, the 2 layers of glue from the blade were left on the rubber which added up to 4 layers of glue. Then it was as easy as the commercials were stating. Maybe there's the science of releasing the glue easily from both the blade and the rubber.

    I have tried free chack, free chack 2, dhs no 15 and tear mender. Tear mender is great for ease of removal from blade and sponge but the glue bonding strength is weak. Free chack bonding is strong but glue is hard to remove from sponge if you want to reglue frequently on other blades to try out different combinations . The best glue is dhs no 15. It spreads so easily and even 1 thin layer on blade and sponge is good enough for a strong bond. The glue is also easy to remove and reglue

    Thanks for making this video, i was searching a while back some type of comparison but couldn't find. I only use one of the glues you tried and it's revolution no 3, but my experience with this glue is very good. It will help if you are spreading an even amount of glue and use 2 layers on the blade and 2-3 on the rubber sponge, but it will add weight so be aware. If you use 1 layer on the blade and 2 on the rubber sponge then the glue will come of much harder because it is overall a thin layer. I also had this issue when i glued like that and was confused, much like yourself, seeing the old presentation video of the Revolution no 3 glue and how easy should the removal process ought to be. If you only apply 1 layer of glue on the blade and 2 on the rubber sponge, for removing the glue you have to apply another 1 or 2 layers of glue, let it dry and then try to remove, or do the same as in the beggining (1 on the blade and 2 on the rubber sponge, this way you have a thick layer of glue on the rubber) and then try to remove. Glue viscosity may affect removal process but i have not tested all three variants. The odourless variant is so much better to use because the smell of the original revolution no 3 is pretty bad.

    • @DarioGrd

      Thanks for sharing your experience and information. I assumed that with more layers the results would be better, but I don't want to add more layers, because my racket is already too heavy. In addition to the weight problem, the price also becomes an issue. It is no longer the cheapest glue in the test, because it is needed twice as much as the others. Of course, then you need to spend more time to apply so many layers. Basically, more weight, more cost, more time... just NO in my opinion.

    Have you ever tried DHS No.15 on a racket without any type of treatment (lacquer, varnish, etc.)?
    In general, "pure" rackets have more grippy wood. For stronger glues this can be a big problem, causing the racket to shed fuzz, but since DHS No.15 is weaker, I think it would suddenly be adhesive enough with untreated racket, while not would cause damage to the blade.
    If you haven't tried it, here's my suggestion for testing it.
    I would be particularly interested in this one, I'm about to receive a Stiga Allround Classic that leaves the factory without treatment, and I was looking for a glue that wouldn't damage it when changing rubbers, as this would avoid the extra headache of having to seal the blade.

    • @DarioGrd

      These 4 Butterfly blades from the test were not additionally treated, but I don't know what exactly was done with them in the factory.
      I tried DHS #15 on some other blades that are varnished and as expected, it holds even less than on this Viscaria from the test.

      Yes, it is possible to do it once or twice, but it is very easy to get unevenly distributed glue and then problems arise, and this is then also visible on the topsheet.

    Zdravo.
Doduse uvek sam imao novopristiglu tubu, takav stari nikada nisam ni koristio. Ta mala kolicina se baci.
    U svakom slucaju mnogo mi je znacilo sto ste prikazali kako funkcionise DHS No.15. Mozda probamo i njega uskoro. Pozdrav

    • @ttennis7988

Completely clear, but the purpose of this video is not that, but to show exactly how difficult or easy it is to remove glues that were tested under the same conditions.
      Before this video, I recorded a video in which I demonstrate how to remove the glue and I mention exactly this, that if the old glue is difficult to remove, it is necessary to add another slightly thicker layer. But that doesn't make sense for this video, all the glues had the same conditions, three layers of glue and then compare how each one comes off.

      As for additional layers... I assumed that with more layers the results would be better, but I don't want to add more layers, because my racket is already too heavy. In addition to the weight problem, the price also becomes an issue. It is no longer the cheapest glue in the test, because it is needed twice as much as the others. The No5 and FineZip being more thick, the layer of latex (glue) that result after drying is more consistent, and it peel off easily. If 4 or 5 layers of revolution nr.3 layers of glue is applied, it will result an layer of glue as thick as the No5 or FineZip, at the same weight (Rev. No3 being less dense).

      @@DarioGrd rotacijski spin i brzi top spin koristim najviše.

    completely wrong on the free chack II. absolutely awful glue. It tacks up way too quickly, you can't even spread it on the bat properly before it starts balling up. And then it doesn't stick the rubbers at all. Every rubber I've glued with it comes off in days. I called the seller (Tees sport) to complain, and they agreed it's a bit rubbish (!). So why sell it????

      I would disagree with you, and I think it is clear in the video how Free Chack Pro II behaves. You can see that it is easy to apply without any problems, and as for how firmly it holds, I used 500 ml of it and not a single rubber has ever come off even after a long time, let alone after a few days.
      Maybe you got a version with which something was wrong, and maybe we're not talking about the same glue in general. Because I used Free Chack PRO II in the video, and if you used Free Chack II, it's a different glue.

      Maybe there are inconsistent batches 😊
