- Like most of the roller coasters at Cedar Point, this B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) dive machine broke the records for the tallest, fastest and longest coaster of its type in the world. It stands 223 feet tall, 3415 feet long, with a top speed of 75 mph and features a 90° drop, a 165 foot tall Immelmann, a dive loop, as well as a zero-g roll.
Cedar Point, also known as "America's Roller Coast", is located in Sandusky, Ohio.

It does indeed. The "train/car" is huge. The track is seriously bulking looking also.
So are the tracks. They're pretty bigger than Rougarou, Gatekeeper, and Raptor.

Rode this in the front 3 times yesterday. Amazing attraction... Easily one of my favorites. At night, It was memorable

I'm gonna ride this next week. Is the drop really that bad? Maverick's drop is definitely steep but I don't remember it being that bad.

As a coaster nerd and someone who has ridden Valravn many times, I find this ride terrifying. Seriously. Then end seat, front row - it's absolutely terrifying!!!

Valravn was awesome! I rode it opening day after waiting 2 hours and 15 minutes in line. When I got off, the Fast Lane was a 30 minute wait! That's like waiting in the normal line for anything else (except Top Thrill Dragster)!

My favorite roller coaster by far! I went to Cedar Point last week for the first time when I was on vacation. The waiting line for this new ride for me was 2 hours (so popular!) while every other coaster were like 5 minutes line wait.
That is cause this one is brand new, so everyone wants to ride it.

When we were there filming the regular queue line was about 90 minutes and the fast lane was only 10 minutes.
+Fall Out Boy Trash went Monday, with fast lane it's 5-10 mins later in the day

Cedar Point doesn't allow anyone to film on their rides, so you'll only be able to view what the park has posted on their TH-cam channel as far as POVs are concerned.

I finally rode this yesterday. COuple things, i get why enthusiasts don't get so excited over B&M's but this was a good ride. I liked Sheikra a bit more from a theming standpoint but the view on this is wonderful. I've also read comments that the vests limit the ride? i didn't think so at all. So, CP was smart with adding this attraction.
going I to that immelman loop I always almost black out, I k ow the because every time I've ridden it which has been 4 times this happens, along with gatekeeper, any advice?
Go here mid-week during the third or fourth week of August after all the kids have gone back to school. There's hardly any wait time on any of the rides.

Everyone's comparing Valravn to other B&M dive coasters (like Griffon), but I wonder how it compares to rides like Cannibal? I feel like the lap bars and beyond vertical drop would be superior, but I've only ridden Cannibal so idk if my opinion would be valid... has anyone ridden both?

Boom The Gamer by a fast lane wrist band. It's like $100 but for me it's worth it. I have to drive from Minnesota when I go.
We went mid week in late August after all the kids went back to school and most rides and no wait time which was awesome. We'll be doing that again this summer.

The drop was ok, but I actually like when it slows down when you go through that roll where you're not pinned to your seat and you fall up into the restraints a bit.
Haven't been to Cedar Point in almost a decade. I'm probably going this weekend, and I hope Valravn lives up to the hype. Although I've heard a lot of people aren't happy with it.

The clang sound you are most likely referring to is probably the wheels re-engaging with the track after a moment of weightlessness.

Can't wait to ride this. I'm thinking one morning ride, and then no wait times on anything else the rest of the day. Millie and Maverick would be the most worth it.
I was there this past week for 2 days and on both days we went it was open from when the park opened till about noon or one then broke down till late in the evening around 9pm after a lot of test runs. We left Thursday morning around 11 and it was already down for the day with people stuck on it at the end. Very fun ride though.
What are those 3 clicks when it goes through the zero-g roll?

Everyone calls it a one-trick pony, but the most underrated quality about it is the roll going in to the final helix. It's basically a zero-g stall.
It’s funny how enthusiasts hate these so much but the GP eats them up.

Last time I was there, I was gonna ride this. But right as people got off the train we were gonna get on, it started raining. They stopped the ride and we had to leave.
My ears were popping at the top of this! The sad thing is, you get assigned rows on this. I got assigned to the back row which was really disappointing because i didnt get hanged on the first drop. But other than that, the ride was fun!

Depends on when you go.
Believe it or not, I actually like both Skeikra and Griffon better than this. Mostly because the restraints they use put a lot of pressure on the bones of the upper chest, especially the lower neck. And even though I've ridden other coaster with those restraints and felt nothing, you can really feel the pressure of the restraints on this ride when you hit the elevated break run at the end of the ride. Plus, and I am being a little sarcastic about this, Valravn doesn't have a splashdown ending and Sheikra has a tunnel (Griffon does to if you count the part where it goes under the bridge at the bottom of the first drop). I still like Valravn though, don't get me wrong.

I’ve ridden both and I personally like Valravn much more because it is much larger. Now i’m no GP saying bigger is better. It’s just that the larger it is, the more speed you have for more elements. And I like the amount of floatation you get.

I honestly am not in favor of these new B&M restraints! The old ones just look much better to me!
Look better? First of all why would looks matter? I understand how they would look different, but the vest restraints look way better because you can see the riders more, instead of having two hard sticks hold you down. And also they are way more comfy. If for some reason they hurt, maybe you’re just sitting wrong or, ahem, too large. And like he said, N O H E A D B A N G I N G
