Yes! If you compare it with the last gen Qashqai, it's definitely better. With the last gen, when you standstill and you put it in D or R, there is bit of delay before you can drive. But with the new CVT, those "problems" are definitely solved. If you are cruising on the highway around 100kmh and you floor the accelerator, the transmission has a quick response, not the quickest you will ever experience(but the qashqai is not a sports car). I would say, go check out the new Nissan Qashqai, take it for a testdrive and you know exactly what I mean. Overall for normal driving the CVT is great!
