You must just pick an arbitrary value for one, like C11. Then this enables you to work out C21.
So just let C11 be = 1 so then from the equation at 19:35 in the vide you can see that -4=4x C21 so -1 = C21
So this is why the answer is a vector [1, -1]
The eigenvector is basically just a ratio, since you can solve it for any value (you could say [5,-5] would also solve the two equations, so there are potentially an infinite number of eigenvectors). But we usually just normalise the vectors to the value of the maximum vector value anyway having assumed a guess value of 1.
