Quite a few people add a small 12V fan, such as a small CPU fan, into the interior to circulate the air within the fridge and they claim it improves the efficiency a sizable amount. The cycle duty is reduced and therefore draws less power overall.
I have a AGM in my canopy from there it goes to agm in my camper to charge I use a enerdrive 45 amp charger. These are adjustable for output voltage. You know the charger I'm sure. Charger sits next to battery in canopy. My question . Can I change the battery in the car to lithium and through the Anderson on battery box charge the agm in the camper using the lithium.? Profile on charger set to lithium.
In another review a Fridgy found that these Kings fridges are in fact all but identical to the Bushman brand that is 2-3 times more expensive than the Kings iteration. Every component was identical except for the Kings sticker on the front. While many people will bag out on Kings products, I have found that name brands often no better. Kings Batteries and inverters seem to be very solid & great value for the DIY budget builder.
I think the performance is also due to the black metal sealed canopy that sits in the sun. If the interior temperature of that canopy is well over 40c, the fridge is going to be working hard all the time.
If you do a internal fan upgrade it will make it a lot better mine averages around 17 ah per day and runs at around 2 amps when running ( seacop compressor) but only recently purchased.
Lovely Ep and review, We have a kings 50lt chest Fridge freezer, it draws 3,8amps. we have a up right 95lt Gecko Fridge freezer it has a 27lt freezer in the top with it own door and a 68lt fridge in the bottom with its owns door it uses 6,5amps We have a 100lt trailBlazer freezer it uses 6,5amps to.
nice mate hit n miss these days hey. Draw look interesting that the hard part these days, once your invested your stuck with it for a while, people never show themselves actually using their set ups etc
The problem comes when you load it up and air can’t circulate. Instant ice up of freezer, poor efficiency and insufficient cooling until u defrost it again
Value for money Kings are fantastic. There products are getting people out there camping, & that’s the main thing. The same as the XTM drawers. Being a member of BCF pays off 👍👍
There is no way any fridge will draw 1.5 amps when running, any less than 3 and it wouldn't run. The calculation should be done over time- 4 amps over one hour running cycling for 20 mins total time per hour is 1.3 amps per hour.
You mentioned getting hot quite a few times.........WHY do you young people choose to paint your canopies very dark colours, mostly BLACK which we ALL know creates a lot more HEAT.
My mistake everyone, the old fridges used the SECOP compressor. The new ones have the HUAYI. My bad for the mistake
Wrong. The one you have still uses the Secop, it's only the 2024 models that have the huyai compressor
@@Aphony66 wrong. the 2021 series fridges use huayi, the escape series uses Anuodan, and the stazcool also use huayi

I was about to say this. i did it to mine and it is way more efficient.

How did you secure it to your canopy?

As said in the video, probably a factor as to why it draws more amperage too

The “new” 85L use the HUAYI compressor which is different to the Secop. It was the older kings fridges which used the Secop.
My bad mate, thanks for confirming. I’ll add it to the description and comments. Appreciate it 🤟🏽

That’s interesting man thanks for the input, appreciate it

That’s it mate. More videos to come of me thrashing it and really testing it 🤣

Why not fit some vents on the rear, so the canopy can breath, just saying
Thanks for sharing 👍😎
That’s a good idea mate might have to do it!
@@SammySharpp u can get vents that open n shut, manually, on dusty trails,
and maybe fit a small fan to such, out hot air, cheers
@@robbiecryerI like it mate will look into, cheers
If you want a cheap fan, look for the computer case fans. Cheap and reliable.
@@samcox9133I have heard they’re the go!

I have a 30 ltr and it run 24/7 only thing I need too do was ad a small computer fan in line with the standard fan no issues
If you want your fridge to cool the inside properly, fit a klevacool fridge fan
The settings aren’t temperature but coldness settings highest number is coolest
Need a good fridge to keep your cocktails cold 💁🏼♀️💁🏼♀️
This is correct
It's the same fridge bushman sell for 1400..
Mate, this fridge doesn't use a Secop Compressor these use a cheap less efficient HUAYI compressor.

Well it does mate. When it’s cycling it’s obvious it’ll draw higher amperage, but when it’s not cycling it shouldn’t be drawing much at all!
@MulletOnTour check the resistance on the compressor, that's the thing with cheap appliances, they are cheaply made. Buy cheap, buy twice.
iam looking to to add a kings dc dc charger need help for dummy 69year old
