  • Are The KINGS Fridges Any GOOD? Testing The KINGS Upright Fridge
    Hope you guys enjoyed this video. Please make sure to hit that subsribe button, it would mean the world to me.
    After further research. The old fridges actually used the SECOP compressor. The new ones use HUAYI. My bad for the error guys

    My mistake everyone, the old fridges used the SECOP compressor. The new ones have the HUAYI. My bad for the mistake

      Wrong. The one you have still uses the Secop, it's only the 2024 models that have the huyai compressor

    Quite a few people add a small 12V fan, such as a small CPU fan, into the interior to circulate the air within the fridge and they claim it improves the efficiency a sizable amount. The cycle duty is reduced and therefore draws less power overall.

    I have a AGM in my canopy from there it goes to agm in my camper to charge I use a enerdrive 45 amp charger. These are adjustable for output voltage. You know the charger I'm sure. Charger sits next to battery in canopy. My question . Can I change the battery in the car to lithium and through the Anderson on battery box charge the agm in the camper using the lithium.? Profile on charger set to lithium.

    If you do a internal fan upgrade it will make it a lot better mine averages around 17 ah per day and runs at around 2 amps when running ( seacop compressor) but only recently purchased.

    The “new” 85L use the HUAYI compressor which is different to the Secop. It was the older kings fridges which used the Secop.

    In another review a Fridgy found that these Kings fridges are in fact all but identical to the Bushman brand that is 2-3 times more expensive than the Kings iteration. Every component was identical except for the Kings sticker on the front. While many people will bag out on Kings products, I have found that name brands often no better. Kings Batteries and inverters seem to be very solid & great value for the DIY budget builder.

    I think the performance is also due to the black metal sealed canopy that sits in the sun. If the interior temperature of that canopy is well over 40c, the fridge is going to be working hard all the time.

      As said in the video, probably a factor as to why it draws more amperage too

    Why not fit some vents on the rear, so the canopy can breath, just saying

      The problem comes when you load it up and air can’t circulate. Instant ice up of freezer, poor efficiency and insufficient cooling until u defrost it again

    There is no way any fridge will draw 1.5 amps when running, any less than 3 and it wouldn't run. The calculation should be done over time- 4 amps over one hour running cycling for 20 mins total time per hour is 1.3 amps per hour.

    • @MulletOnTour
      @MulletOnTour  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well it does mate. When it’s cycling it’s obvious it’ll draw higher amperage, but when it’s not cycling it shouldn’t be drawing much at all!

    • @mikefoster7085
      @mikefoster7085 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MulletOnTour check the resistance on the compressor, that's the thing with cheap appliances, they are cheaply made. Buy cheap, buy twice.
