This kind of skirt was a staple for me, back in the 70's. Every time the jeans became all holed up, I'd make it into a skirt. History definitely repeats itself.
Wendy Mendez It turned out perfectly! Just make sure you use pins or are careful to stay in line with where you want to sew and keep your stitches consistent. I could have easily gotten off track and messed up so I just checked regularly.
ForeverKisha I just used a blue color that kinda matched my jeans. But I think a lot of colors would work! Gold like the jean thread, white, navy, any blue really. Just whatever you have that blends in the best :)
ForeverKisha You can totally do it! and the denim is pretty forgiving if you mess up. It'll just look more unique ;) mine turned out a little asymmetrical but I love it that way. Zara sells them like that on purpose lol.
So glad I stumbled on your channel. I am new to sewing and your tutorials are oh-so-easy to follow, especially when sewing can sometimes be so difficult. Subscribed!
Oh thank God that I saw your channel because I'm planning DIY skirt maybe tomorrow because on Monday it will be my first day at my class and I want to have some fresh outfits but budget friendly and turn my old jeans into new life! THANK YOU! Btw I'm from Philippines! 🇵🇭
Hi: Nice video. will you ever make any videos about wearing unused plastic garbage, trash, bin bag/liners as clothing. What is your opinion on wearing them and will you ever wear them on a regular basis. Thanks
Amber Smith ones that fit would be better in my opinion! And ones with stretch. I used ones that were too big with no stretch and I had to take it in which was annoying.
