    This kind of skirt was a staple for me, back in the 70's. Every time the jeans became all holed up, I'd make it into a skirt. History definitely repeats itself.

    I did this today! Great tutorial. I don't have a sewing machine yet so it took a very long time by hand but worth it! :)

      Lizzie Wing how did it turn out by hand? I don't have a machine either. Any advice?

    • @lizziewing
      @lizziewing 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wendy Mendez It turned out perfectly! Just make sure you use pins or are careful to stay in line with where you want to sew and keep your stitches consistent. I could have easily gotten off track and messed up so I just checked regularly.

      ForeverKisha I just used a blue color that kinda matched my jeans. But I think a lot of colors would work! Gold like the jean thread, white, navy, any blue really. Just whatever you have that blends in the best :)

      @lizziewing 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ForeverKisha You can totally do it! and the denim is pretty forgiving if you mess up. It'll just look more unique ;) mine turned out a little asymmetrical but I love it that way. Zara sells them like that on purpose lol.

    Maybe this is a silly question (I am new to sewing) but what kind of stitch are you using to sew the pieces together?

    Hi:
    Nice video. will you ever make any videos about wearing
    unused plastic garbage, trash, bin bag/liners as clothing. What is your
    opinion on wearing them and will you ever wear them on a regular basis.
    Thanks

    Should I start with jeans that fit me or ones that are slightly large?

    • @cottonandcurls
      @cottonandcurls  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amber Smith ones that fit would be better in my opinion! And ones with stretch. I used ones that were too big with no stretch and I had to take it in which was annoying.
