Hey mate, I want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the unwavering love and support you’ve shown my Hannah over the years. She truly appreciates every one of you. Unfortunately, she’s currently unable to reach out personally due to her busy schedule, but please know that your support means the world to her. Thank you for being such an incredible part of her journey.
Jeff, I appreciate how you treat your daughter. You treat her with such love and respect. Hannah is lucky to have you. Thanks for the video. I am enjoying watching you build this fabulous house for Hannah.
Go get a 33" sink. You have come this far, let's not start fudging the cabinets. Too much time and effort went into building and installing them. Just get the correct sink and be done with it. Trying to make a larger sink fit into a smaller opening not doing things the right way. You know it's wrong!
Agreed. So it's a couple hour drive. Probably gonna take a heckuva lot longer than that to fudge-up the counters to make the too-big one fit. The less fudging, the much better.
Calm down, His Girl is freaking out he's telling her something to calm her down. Tomorrow on her own she will come to the conclusion she want's the 33" and feel good about it cause her dad didn't have to do all the extra work.
He's not fudging on a critical structural part of the kitchen. He's just making an Avery slight adjustment to the aesthetic placement of the cabinetry. Will not be noticed . Architects "fudge" blueprints all the time. 3 more inches to the sink could be a game changer for someone that uses the sink often. Country folk uses the sink often.
That bench between the cabinets is cool...This is by far the most top notched awesome craftmanship that one could lay eyes using timber from your property and repurpose of materials. Daddy Jeff knows how to get things done for his girl.
Just clear coat. You can't improve perfection!! That has got to be the most beautiful home I've ever seen from start to finish. The character and craftsmanship is unreal!! If i went with any stain at all it would be something real light just highlight the grain in the wood. That house is coming together absolutely gorgeous 😍🥰😍
Hannah, your facial expression is good for the situation. Merle is a funny dog. Your dad looks like he is healing. My prayers helped along with everyone's.
Absolutely beautiful counter tops and woodwork. LOVE natural wood! Awesome build as always. You, my man, are the goat of building and actually anything you do!
Definitely clear coat the doors. Option on wall in the bathroom is to antique finish it. Solid color of choice either forest green, dark grey like the cabinets or go crazy and think about a burnt red color as the base color then white stain on top of the color of choice then random sand it to bring out the solid color. Money is in the details and your choices are inspirational
I agree. I'd sell the 36 on Facebook or something to recover most of the funds. The sink kissing 💋 the dishwasher is a definite no go to me. Even someone "not in the know" will tilt their head lookin at that. Not a good reflection on a craftsman maybe it's just me.( long time finish Carpenter)
This girls personality and attitude makes her beautiful, the beauty on the outside is just a bonus. Just found the channel and watching her videos adds a little sunshine in my life. Keep on keeping on. Love the house and the chemistry between you two.
Im loving that kitchen! I have 6 all wood cabins and have been in the construction business for the past 45 years. You are so right about the polly turning wood yellow. The first job i used it on was 150 year old re purposed heart pine and it is now orange. Beautiful job!
I agree with Jeff. Clear coat it so you can see the grain but still protect the wood. And I have had urethane turn yellow like that too. My wife hates when hardwood floors have that orange look after years of polyurethane coat. We've sanded a many a floor because of that. Hope it all turned out nice.
Why not just remove the sink cabinet and construct a new one without all the work of adjusting and shortening the drawers? Gorgeous job there in any case. Nice work!
I would get the proper fitting sink versus getting everything all out of alignment and not uniform! Just clear coat the natural wood, and put up logs for your siding and you will have a masterpiece of a housey! Cheers mates)
Jeff you're not just a craftsman, you're an "artist" with the quality of your work I knew about the polyurethane too! I KNOW it yellows, but kind of gives a little character to the work, but for counter tops I like the way you've got it done there!! More of a 'natural' looking finish to it, much better looking finish!! Could you use a paint or stain sprayer to redo it if you had to? Might make quick work of it? Would have to clean the sprayer afterwards but much worth the trouble for ease of application? I might consider that for my woodcarving projects in the future!!?? GREAT JOB EITHER WAY JEFF! 👍👍👍 Greg Leonard - Cottage Grove, MN
It has been incredible to simply watch this project progress, so it must be so enriching for you both to be actually building it together. Thanks so much for sharing this journey-it's inspiring! I've only ever worked on masonry and RC concrete homes here in the UK, but one day I'd love to head to the US or Canada to frame a house 🇬🇧🇺🇸🙏🏼❤🔥💪🏼
If you can improvise, there is nothing like a dilemma. And you sir, definitly know how to fix this! I found a lot of inspiration on your channel how to fix or build stuff at my own house. So, thank you for your content! Btw, I would clear coat the doors. It will give a nice contrast to the gray of the kitchen. PS: Everytime Merle Haggard is running on my playlist, I have to think about your dog. (which even looks bit better for me, than Haggard 😊)
Jeff and Hannah both, are worth the watch. We need more women like her personality and attitude to enjoy watching in here. Thanks for the update too, the house is looking good, and I find the kitchen cabinets kind of cool. Am retired cabinet maker
I had a custom cabinet business. I would rebuild the drawer cabinet to make space for the larger sink. The sink needs support, which is the only issue I can see with your plan. The issue with factory made cabinets is the use of engineered lumber, which doesn't handle water issues. Usually, a standard kitchen sink cabinet is 36" minimum width, for future plans. Good luck with making it work. This is what makes you a craftsman!
We need to send Hannah to the Supreme Court. They have forgotten what a "Real Woman" is. And in congress, when they ask a contestant what is a woman, they can have Hannah to walk out and be their example. And she can be the example for other women to look up to when they forget what a woman is.
Starting to go from looking like a house to looking like a home ! Well done. Good to see you're moving around no problem Jeff ! Hope the healing up is going well ! DON'T overdo anything yet !
You can never go wrong with the natural wood look! I would just klear kote! Everything is coming along nicely! Good to see Jeff without the collar! Y’all stay safe!
I think y'all are doin a wonderful job on that house and Sir I do believe if she was my daughter I would want to build her something something like that too :)) I commend you on your skills . Y'all have a great day and get er done ! lol

Unfortunately, she’s currently unable to reach out personally due to her busy schedule, but please know that your support means the world to her. Jeff, you may already be aware, but these days there are so many top-quality waterborne coatings, including polyurethanes and conversion varnishes, that not only remain water-white (they don't yellow) but also outperform the solvent-based versions in every way, including protection and durability. Polycrylic is a decent product, but the coatings I'm talking about blow it out of the water. You generally have to spray them (or at least they really prefer to be sprayed for best results, though some are said to be brushable), but whether paint or clear finishes I hate brushing anyway. If you need to be finishing countertops, cabinets, millwork, etc. with clear or pigmented finishes in the future, they might be worth checking out. Renner, Milesi, ML Campbell's Agualente, Sayerlack, Target Coatings, General Finishes, Chemcraft, Becker/Acroma, Gemini, and Ilva are some of the brands I'm referring to. Sherwin-Williams has their Kem Aqua line as well.
I would go with Rubio monocoat for the countertops, do two sandings with 120-150 and a wet popping grain with 150 , then hit it with the Rubio and it’s cured in 48 hours the doors would great with the color of the floors or clear coat
Great video and the house is looking amazing!!! I have an idea for the shelves next to the tub/shower. Might be kind of tough but to find the outside of a tree, a branch coming off as a door. The branch would serve as a towel rack. It would kind of look like a Vega pole next to the shower. Just a thought.

With as many cabinets as you have and the sink base is the most simple, I would make a new sink base and slide the end cabinet towards the door to make room for the dishwasher. Great house!!!

What is keeping you from moving the cabinets in the other direction towards the dishwasher? Could you add a filler strip to your sink cabinet and scoot everything towards the door, or is there not enough room to do that? I am just jumping in here and haven't seen much since the frame the went up. My vote goes to staining the door casings and clear coating the doors. Looking great! Keep it up. Glad ya'll are well.
I think a fantastic look on those doors would be a charred/burned look (shou sugi ban) using a weed burner or torch! After that you can apply a coat or two of polycrylic. Hannah, your home looks terrific and you are gorgeous! Papa is a very slilled craftsman, too.
The 36" farm sink is the way to go but I would bet that you will be happier with one large single hole sink over the two holer you purchased. When you have large pots, dogs, babies or other such animals, you will be glad you opted for a farm sink without a divider. Good luck and enjoy your new home.
So great to see your Dad looking fit as ever. Always love these sessions. I think mostly clear coat. However, the door next to the stairs in the kitchen... That is a hard one. I could see stain on the door for contrast that I, humbly, think would look great. But, clear would work too. Don't envy your decision. All the best regardless.
I'm a sucker for stained wood that darkens over time, I also do a lot of Shou Sugi Ban, which I use poly urethane on, then reburn it 12 hours later for a more dark red characteristic. So far nothing has yellowed but my oldest piece is only 5 years old. With that said, your craftmanship is so nice, either will look amazing, natural or stained! So jealous of your counter tops!
Hey Hannah, love the cabin! So glad to see your dad back up and at it. I haven't watched in a while and this is the first video I've seen with him back up and at it.
Your dad is something else he can do dang near anything love you guys videos if you’re ever driving through Missouri and you need a place to stay I’m in Jefferson City Missouri and we always got to bed if y’all need it. God bless and keep up the good work.
The six panel doors were originally designed to be the Cross over an open book (Bible). I don't have a picture to share, but loved how it turned out on one of my jobs when we stained the cross a couple shades darker than sun exposure would make it down the road, and then water Poly over the whole door. It was a beautiful yet subtle emphasis on the meaning behind the design and a great result to the natural wood look. If you do decide to go this route, I would love to see your final result! Glad you are healing, Jeff! God bless
Clear coat on the doors, for the reason that it designates a portal to a different place. IF it were the door to a pantry, for instance, I'd say match the stain. Nice build. Link to the polycrylic you use??
I love the whole idea of that chandelier. Very very very cool. Love the oxen yoke which keeps it up too. I think I am going to have to take a screenshot of that, and keep it for my own place.
Beautiful work so far! I would just clear coat the door the to give you a contrast to the trim that already matches the cabinets. Just my opinion tho. Keep up the great work tho. You're coming down the back side of it all now. Glad to see you doing better too Jeff!
Clear coat. The cabinets are dark. You gotta have an opposite to bring the house some either/or look. Clear coat the doors and the stair railings and steps. Maybe have dark treads on the steps as an offset. That's just me thinkin' out loud. LOVE THE PLACE and I'm glad your back is feeling better and you're up and about. God bless.
Jeff, last time I saw you, were in a neck brace, I guess God did answer my prayers (and many others I’m sure) House looks great so far, interesting blend of modern and rustic. I especially like that antler light!
If you have small scrap pieces of wood maybe stain one and clear on another and go from there...use that for the opss..😅👍🏽. Beautiful build and love the floor plan 🥰🙏🏽❣️
With wood 🪵 like that I would totally just clear coat. Stain covers up the grain in the wood. Also when can I come pickup my counter tops? Those are...... well an understatement would be amazing or awesome. Great job.
If anyone ever needed an example of how critical a father is in a child's life. Well done, Sir.
Indeed. 💯
Maybe he should have had a boy!!
How can anybody in this world say this girl is ugly!!???😭😭😭 She’s literally fudging perfect. A true man’s woman.😇🙂
Agreed she is beautiful
I doubt anyone says that. She's gorgeous.
NO ONE ever said that. U just trolling for replies, and I obliged.
Dude she is a true mans woman & the man who married her is the luckiest man alive!
Who said that ?🤔
I agree, Jeff. I prefer the natural look, without stain. That house is magnificent.
Stain the doors to match the trim around them. The unstained doors don't look good next to the dark trim!!!
@@johnl-cz2qgCountertop needs moisture protection, glass or plexiglass.
The Natural look to match Hannah....natural beauty!

I love the whole idea of that chandelier. Very very very cool. Love the oxen yoke which keeps it up too. I think I am going to have to take a screenshot of that, and keep it for my own place.
That's a priceless home, GOD BLESS You Jeff, Hannah Amen
This is my kind of house!! You 2 are really blessed to have each other, what an awesome combo!
With the darker trim around the doors, the natural look "pops" better. House is looking great!!
Great video! Leave the doors and the other areas natural with clear coat. It will keep the space bright.
Beautiful work so far! I would just clear coat the door the to give you a contrast to the trim that already matches the cabinets. Just my opinion tho. Keep up the great work tho. You're coming down the back side of it all now. Glad to see you doing better too Jeff!
Nice house, the woodwork is looking really good. Wow. Enjoyed the show
I would love to see a reaction video of Heather Lynn seeing those lights. Outstanding craftsmanship.
I would go with clear coat doors. Looks good with the dark trim. Everything looking good.
Love it, Jeff and Hannah beautiful home precious appreciate y’all love the video
God bless.
Jeff, you’re a great dad. Love that she took ownership for the size difference but you just said “we got this.”
Jeff, last time I saw you, were in a neck brace, I guess God did answer my prayers (and many others I’m sure) House looks great so far, interesting blend of modern and rustic. I especially like that antler light!
Which ever decision you go with, only you are the one who has to live it. Looks amazing, nuff said.
If you have small scrap pieces of wood maybe stain one and clear on another and go from there...use that for the opss..😅👍🏽. Beautiful build and love the floor plan 🥰🙏🏽❣️
I like the natural look of the house, it has something Scandinavian, I'm from Finland myself. Beautiful house!
With wood 🪵 like that I would totally just clear coat. Stain covers up the grain in the wood. Also when can I come pickup my counter tops? Those are...... well an understatement would be amazing or awesome. Great job.
Definitely clear coat, i prefer natural colors. Most people stain too dark and or paint or whitewash beautiiful wood.
Why do I love watching this. I'm handy, but not this handy, lol. The pup "Merl"? is super-cute too.
CLEAR COAT
Love how that place is shaping up !!!
Looks great Jeff!! Light honey stain, with a clear coat for doors and around bathtub walls.
Clear coat by itself will bring out the grain and color so much better and look awesome Mr. Jeff in my humble opinion Sir
